Elena is now anxious as she can't sleep as she still remembered what happened in the past between her and Erlinda. Nana entered the room and she asked her why she's not interacting with Alvira's mom and she told her that Erlinda made her life miserable and put her to the darkest point of her life so Nana asked her what happened so Elena narrated it to her. Year 1980 when Elena lived as a yaya at the mansion and she was working hard to provide herself a living and as she was serving the rich family of Erlinda, she heard that the couple had a hard time on having a baby as Don Juancho is trying his best to have a child with her but they're not blessed to have a baby. Elena is cleaning the garden one day and Juancho asked her if she's still available as she wanted to show to her how a man can love her and Elena fell in love with him as time goes by and this is all happening beyond Erlinda's knowledge. As time goes by, Elena is being used by Juancho and they had love in every dark section of the mansion and few months later, she realized that she's pregnant and this made him shook so he told her that he will take care of the child and he won't run from his responsibility. Elena spent her days being pregnant while Erlinda was watching her and asked her who's the father of her child and she said that she have a BF in the province so she supported the pregnancy as Erlinda is now having a baby fever and she badly wanna have a child. As Elena is now giving birth, Erlinda was searching for her husband and she was surprised as she found him at the little hut where Elena was giving birth so she dragged and asked him why he's watching that yaya on her labor so he admitted that he and Elena had an affair and that affair resulted to her pregnancy. Erlinda slapped him as she felt betrayed by his actions and she remembered that she can use the baby as her own so she asked him that she can give him one more chance to prove himself to her and that's by stealing the baby from her and he told her that it would be very painful for him to be have their child separated from her mom but Erlinda told him that he really is very useless so she's planning to steal the child. Elena was very happy as her baby girl was delivered healthy and she named her baby Monica and she promised to her that she will give her the best life that she can give. As the night creeps in, Elena is now sleeping with her baby when Erlinda grabbed the child from her but Elena woke up and she tried to stop her from robbing her child. Erlinda slapped her and told her that she already found that this baby was Juancho's and as his wife, she have all the right to take care of this child so she ran away with the baby while Elena was struggling to chase her as she just gave birth. Erlinda told the yayas to be fast as she need to leave this house immediately as she don't want that woman to get her baby back and when Elena saw them leaving the house, she ran away as fast as she can but it was too late as her child was now robbed away from her. The couple finally had a child and they named her Carolina Alvira and they lived in their new house in Batangas while Elena got depressed on what happened to her and there's no day that she don't remember how evil Erlinda was for robbing her child. Elena transferred on an island and she lived alone there but few years later, she was surprised when Erlinda visited her with her daughter as a 3 year old kid now so she hugged her but she told her that it will be the last time that they will see each other as they'll live now in the US. Elena begged for her to give her child back to her as her life has never been the same when she lost the precious jewel of her life but Erlinda gave her 20K pesos as a payment for giving her the child that she known and that money serves as a closure to all her connections to her family. Elena got mad that she slapped the money to Erlinda and told her that no amount of money can change the fact that its her child but she was shocked when they walked away and Erlinda told her that she can never see them again as she carried Baby Carol. Elena lashed out as she was very angry that she wasn't able to fight for her right as the mother of her child and she just let them leave like that so as the years go by, she became focused in her life as a single woman living in a small coastal town and she was serving at the church and feeds people during the fiestas but she kept on praying that one day, her destiny will lead her back to her daughter until she met Del and Gabo and that's where she felt that life is becoming interesting again as she felt like Del is like a ray of hope to her until she went back to the city and hoped that she can find her daughter. Elena told Nana that she spent 42 years finding her daughter and now, she finally found her as she's just right here in this house and Nana got very emotional with Elena's story so she told her that they need to be careful on revealing this as that lady have all the power and money to make her look like a bad mom who abandoned her daughter and Elena told her that she will do everything to get Alvira back again.The next day, Erlinda is staring at the wall as she's at the garden so Alvira asked her she looked so serious so Erlinda told her to never leave her as she can't carry the pain that her abandonment would give to her so she promised that she will always stick with her as she's the mom that took care of her. Nana eavesdropped at their convo and she felt bad for Elena as Erlinda already planted in Alvira's whole existence that she's the one who gave birth to her.
