Dress for Success (Vol6 Short):

No faces are shown besides silhouettes and gear. As Zwei watches, each hunter and huntress in training change and ad new clothing. From capes, to vests, to boots, to gloves, to battle skirts, to accessories. Penny was a little different because she was a robot. Bits and pieces of her body were removed and replaced with something new. Soon, Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, Ren, Penny, Oscar, Sun, Neptune, Scarlet, Sage, Velvet, Coco, Fox and Yatsu were ready, and Zwei barks with joy. Ruby's face shows, and she says "they're ready". It them cuts to the title.

Detours (Vol6 ep ___ - ___):

There is an announcement at the academy that Glynda will be taking over as Beacon's headmistress while Ozpin is away on a journey. In reality, it was a top secret mission. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, Ren, Penny, Oscar, Sun, Neptune, Scarlet, Sage, Coco, Velvet, Fox, Yatsuhashi, Ozpin, Qrow and Zwei were prepared to travel around Remanet in order to keep Salem and her forces at bay, starting with Mistral. But Ozpin doubts they might even see Salem at all, because she barely shows herself out of the Land of Darkness. The 18 kids have all dressed for the part, feeling upgraded like brand new weaponry. Ren chooses to keep his hair out for a while, and Nora knew she would enjoy this. Yatsu felt great to be home, though Velvet was unsure about going to Mistral because of the abuse, since Mistral is the kingdom that is sadly the hardest on the Faunus. But Blake assures her she won't be judged as long as they all show them they are apart of society. Before leaving, they visit Amber, who was at Vale's local hospital still in bad condition. But there was sparks of hope they she won't be permanently damaged. She appreciated them coming to see her. They tellher about their quest and what Team JNPR are going to do to save her. She wishes them all luck for their travels and taking Cinder down. Little do they know Roman and Neo have their own plans. Because they had overheard the talk before, they want to take a little glimpse at all the possible valuable things they can find.

On their way via airships, they are suddenly attacked by Lancers, causing most of them to fall overboard in the process getting them separated. Yang did not want to lose her beloved bike, Nora fell for Ren, literally, and Jaune was the only one who didn't land with ease. Ruby, Weiss, Penny and Ozpin were the last remaining, and Ozpin acted like it was just a typical lesson. She seemed so chill. That's when they came up against the Lancers' Queen. Weiss takes it from here, declaring she will fight fire with fire. She summons her own Queen Lancer and rides on it into battle. But her idea doesn't exactly go as planned when Ruby jumps on with her. But instead of facepalming or scolding the dunce, she joins Ruby in the shouting and screaming with Penny following from behind. The Queen and the Weiss' Queen are both killed at the same time. Penny manages to catch Ruby, but loses Weiss. Ruby tells Penny to let her go to find her friends. She gladly does so, because she asked nicely, and calls she'll search for the others. Ozpin calls he'll meet them as Haven, and carries on.

The group end up into smaller groups. Group 1 had Weiss' teammates and Zwei, Group 2 had JNPR, Group 3 had Sun, Neptune, Velvet and Coco, Group 4 had Scarlet, Sage, Fox and Yatsu, Group 5 Penny, Oscar and Qrow and Roman and Neo are by themselves. So now they're going to have to find Weiss, each other and get to Haven by foot. Weiss herself lands safety, but is knocked out and taken hostage by Raven's tribe of bandits. Group 1 began with Ruby and Yang getting up and turning to see Blake clinging on the tree branch away from Zwei saying "darn you dog!". Thanks to Yang, using the advice from Qrow, they ride on Yang's bike and try to track down Weiss and the hideout, though she doesn't know what they're looking for is in the exact same place. Meanwhile, Group 2 save a village from an attacking Geist and Jaune gets his weapons upgraded from the local blacksmith, Group 3 and 4 try to get their bearings, Group 5 needed to navigate their allies and the 2 terrorists search for little red so they can follow her to Mistral.
