I'm so exited! Today Noah is one year old! We planned a back yard party with his friends from pre school and some family. Nathan wanted to go all out. He ordered a bouncy castle and we bought a small child sized swimming pool as a present for Noah. The swing set that we hardly ever use is still up and parents are pushing their kids on the baby swings and watching them go down the slide.

Noah is so spoiled. We told the parents not to buy any presents but it looks like all of them brought at least one present some two. I know that me and Nathan each bought him 5 and bought 3 others together, not including the pool. Beth, being Noah's grandma has probably bought at least 10 presents for him.

Noah was splashing in the pool with his best friend Abby. She was wearing an adorable white polka dotted pink two piece and her hair was in pigtails. Abby leaned over and gave Noah a hug. It was so cute, I hope they stay friends for a while.

I head to the front because I think I heard another car pull into the driveway. Our close friends, Tyler and Jen, who always look after Noah are here with two presents and a piñata which was probably filled with candy and toys.

"Come to the back yard!" I say. I turn around to go back and they follow behind me. When the gate is shut everyone stops and looks to see who's here. the kids get all exited when they see the piñata.

"What dat boo fing Ty?" Noah said. Translated, what's that blue thing Ty

"It's called a piñata." I say. Noah looks annoyed.

"Mommy I dinot ask you! I ask Ty!" He whined. I look to Tyler to see his reaction.

He shrugs and says, " Noah, the blue thing I have is called a piñata. It's filled with candy and toys, you take a stick and you try and break the piñata open blindfolded with the stick." Tyler explains. Noah looks pleased.

All the kids yell, "CANDY!" I laugh.

"PRESENT TIME!" I yell. All the kids run to the table. For his party we decided not to give cake to a bunch of toddlers and we thought the candy would be enough.

I scan the stack of presents and decide on one with wrapping paper with snowmen on it. Noah unwraps his first present. We repeat this cycle and I see so many different kinds of wrapping paper. Red, blue, unicorns, balloons, trees, squiggles, stripes, waves and even newspaper!
