I managed to do what my seventh grade self could only dream of.
I was able to get into her car and actually kiss her.
God, she was so good.
At first, I though she was going to draw away like it was uncalled for, but she got totally into it. I pulled her into my lap and grabbed the small of her back. She wrapped her hands around the base of my neck and ran her fingers through my hair. I moved my hands up and down as she shifted her weight from side to side. When she stopped, I started to wonder what I did wrong, but then she smiled that amazing smile of hers and I smiled back.
"So, how much does Joey owe you?" She asked. I laugh and tell her it wasn't a bet, I just have liked her for a very long time. She smiled again and looked down at her phone.
"Oh God. Look at the time, I have to get going," she said as she reached across me to grab her bag.
"Hey," I say slowly as I put my hands around her waist again. "Do you have to get to class that early? We have twenty minutes," She stops and puts her stuff down.
"Okay, only ten minutes then we go to Mrs. Montgomery's, okay?" She says while she puts her hands on my shoulders. I smile and she takes that for an answer.
She leans in closer this time, so our chests are almost right up against each other. She pulls her fingers through my hair as I pull her in all the way so we are touching. She briefly stops to smile, but she continues right after. I reach down and find a leaver on the side of the seat.
"What are you doing?" Becca asks in a whisper.
"You'll see," I say as I pull the handle and the chair I was sitting in was lowering to a flat position. Becca giggles as I flip her over onto the, now flat, seat. I kiss her again and she wraps her arms around my lower back. I stop just to get a good look at her. She couldn't be more beautiful with her long blonde hair flowing out behind her and her eyes were the bluest thing I had ever seen.
"What are you staring at?" She asks.
"The most beautiful thing in the world. I guess your okay, too," I say, jokingly. She pulls the chair back up and laughs.
"God, I am so lucky," She says. I look away and smile.
I ask her, "Are you busy tonight?".
"Probably not," She says.
"Well, consider yourself now busy," I say as I hand Becca her backpack and phone. "You forget, Mrs. Montgomery is waiting,".
"Your right," She says as she pecks me on the cheek. She opens the door and gets out of the passenger's seat. "I'll see you tonight, Taylor Abbot,"
"Tonight," I repeat. She smiles that oh-so amazing smile and shuts the door.
And that's when I know, deep down inside, Rebecca Wade is the one for me.
