Warnings: violence, drug use, also this chapter is definitely on the cheesy side. I will edit it to the best of my ability.Valàzera donned a long, white dress. With green and gold lining. Her thick hair was in a braided bun on top of her head, and a long rope braid down her shoulder. Her maiden cloak had the Phoenix and Heart of R'hllor sewn into the back. Her stomach swelled with Aemond's children. Valàzera walked down the aisle of the sept. Her veil covering her face. She made her way up to Aemond as he took her small hand in his larger one. His sapphire proudly exposed to the world. To his shock, guess who the priest was, Aegon. Valázera was curious as to where HE came from and what happened to the high Septon. She was sure that Kharyz had something to do with these shenanigans.
"We stand here in the sight of gods and men to witness the union of man and wife: one flesh, one heart, one soul, now and forever." "Let it be known that Clan Kurydhall and House Targaryen are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder." "I am yours, and you are mine." The two of them said simultaneously. Aegon took a huge swig out of his mug. He was very drunk. "Ok now cloak her flaming ass and bring her under your protection." Aemond glared at his brother as Valàzera laughed at his remark. Before the cloaking, however, Valàzera and Aemond were presented with the ancestral dagger of House Targaryen. One that was around during Aenar's reign, and Valàzera's ancestral dagger, Reàzyrha, or the Fierce Flame. Aemond and Valàzera exchanged daggers and proceeded to cut their hands in the tradition of Asshai. Five cuts down the fingers and thumb, and an 'X' on the palm. They also cut the center of their lips, and smeared the blood on each of their foreheads. A tradition of Old Valyria. Their blood was drained into a goblet which they drank from. They interlocked their hands as a ribbon was draped over them. Aegon threw the Targaryen cloak over the couple. "You two may kiss." Aemond smashed his lips into hers. They ran hand in hand on their way out. And before they could board Vhagar, Valàzera felt strong arms around her. She turned around and saw it was Kharyz. She could tell her sister had been crying because of the burn marks on her cheeks. "Sister." She wiped a tear with her hand. Valàzera had never seen Kharyz cry. Not even after the death of their sister, Asthaerzia. "I am so proud of you. I'm sorry for wishing ill will upon you and Aemond. I'm sorry for everything. Some lady I called my second mother came to me in the night and opened my eyes. May you live a happy and healthy life. The Greens are where you belong. They have always been your true family, even since you were a little flame." "Well it's about damn TIME!! Those two were getting on my last nerve!" Aegon shouted and belched. "Where are you two fairies going?!" Aegon shouted again. "Stay for the feast!" After everyone at the table had said grace, Kharyz raised her glass and said, "Let us raise our cups to Queen Valàzera Targaryen of Clan Kurydhall! Queen and High Priestess of Asshai!" Everyone cheered as Aemond wrapped his arms around his lady wife and kissed her. "Queen? I didn't know you were a queen." "I'm the queen of my people. It was a little less than a moon ago. I kinda snuck off when you weren't looking. I had to deal with the tribunal and I fought them desperately to remove me from the flames. I didn't want you getting involved in this type of business. But the thing is, they wouldn't let me leave, so the only way out where both of us would live is if I killed them. Aemond. There is no longer a death cult. They have been eradicated. The Asshai'i can live in peace, and we can be together for all eternity." Aemond was proud of her, but also very sad because Phoenix kings and queens in Asshai were often killed quickly by the shadow clans because of their powers. She booped him on the nose. "You're my queen." Aemond pulled her in and kissed her again as he placed a hand on her swollen womb. "Do you know what that makes you, Aemond?" "Does that mean I'm the-" "King of Asshai." "That's wonderful, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to turn that offer down." "Why?" Aemond stroked her hand. His voice grew increasingly angry. "What they did to you, the way they treated you, beat you-" "Don't remind me." "I don't want to be near those people and I especially don't want you near those people again." "Aemond, they're all dead." "I've seen the way you pick your nails and stare at the wall. Look at your hands, Valàzera. The skin is destroyed from you harming yourself. They traumatized you." "You're right. But I have to go back. I have to rule for them. They won't accept Kharyz. She's a brute who can't get along with people. And must I remind you, the regular citizens of Asshai looked up to me. They saw how terrible my family was. "Asshai needs a ruler. We have no one right now. We have to go back. Even though Asshai is a dark and dangerous city, it still has its beauties that I really suggest you gaze upon." Valàzera explained. "To Asshai?" "To Asshai."
Aemond and Valázera were absolutely STUFFED as they made their way back to the red keep. They had a long ride ahead of them to Essos for their honeymoon. "These little phoenixes are going to cause my womb to burst!" Valàzera said, rubbing her stomach. "They're dragons." "How about dragonflames?" "I like that a lot." Aemond rested his head against her stomach and spoke and sang to them in High Valyrian. Skip a day later. They visited the streets of Mereen, the luscious oases of Qarth, and the bazaars of Lys. When the two of them finally got to Asshai, they landed at the doors of Valàzera's vast palace.
Valàzera walked up the steps to her palace. They were greeted by a Stygai'i priest who fled from clan Za'Renyx. "Queen Valàzera." "Rinquorro! It's so good to see you!" "Where is Princess Kharyz?" "They said they'd be over tonight to witness the coronation." "They? What do you mean?" Aemond asked. Valàzera smirked and said, "Well, Aegon said he wanted to come along." Valàzera said. Aemond groaned. He wanted to spend this time with his wife, not babysit his drunk brother and her drunk sister. And of course, when Kharyz and Aegon showed up they were stumbling all over the place and babbling like idiots. Valàzera noticed Kharyz with another giant keg of Lyseni Whiskey being rolled over towards her. "I thought we could use a little extra for the celebration of your wedding and your coronation, high priestess." Valàzera was quick to light Tezyrha on fire and throw the axe at the keg. "We don't have time to indulge in your behaviors, sister." She said.
As the group walked through the black stone buildings of Asshai, They heard a giant bird shriek in the sky. It wasn't a phoenix. It was the Stygai'i black rocs. The mounts of the Za'Renyx Clan.
