So Tired (Dream Sans x Reader)

(this idea hit me last night, so have this to tide over for now)

You trembled as you felt a familiar pair of arms lift and pull you close. You'd been hurled farther than you thought even possible, and skid across the ground.

There was pain, but you couldn't remember it, or feel it. Just a cold numb sting that lingered in your form as your mind raced.

"I've got you..."

Dream spoke weakly, he was clearly too out of it to take you anywhere in urgency. So you could only writhe in his grasp as you laid your head against him.

Dream was always so good to you, he made you feel so special with how he protected you. You clutched the fabric of his suit as you buried your face into him with a groan. You could feel his aura desperately blanketing over you to keep you from panic. Your worried thoughts and mind was slowing down as you mentally tried to recollect everything that happened.

Rather, collecting everything you'd been through, with him, with your friends you'd made in this realm...

It was all so bittersweet, seeing it all over again.

Dream was holding you close as you trembled in his grasp. He always made you feel so calm... so..

Sleepy...

"Dream..?"

A rest wouldn't hurt would it? He always protected you when you needed a rest...

You were so tired...

"I've got you...don't worry,"

He made you feel so tired.

"..I..I love you, Dream."

"Shh..."

You could feel him curl over to get closer to you, feeling his skull against yours as he gave you a gentle nuzzle. Tenderly reciprocating your last minute feelings.

You could feel your muscles relaxing, letting go of his cloak as you fell into his grasp without a fight. Feeling your head be cushioned in his lap as you weakly wrapped around him.

You just needed to relax.

Dream would keep you safe.

"Shh... go ahead, sunshine...you can rest," He spoke softly.

So you did.
