i wake up this morning, it's saturday. enid is still asleep. i get dressed and fix my hair. i then sit on my bed, as the sun rises.

Enid, finally wakes up, she jumps when she sees me starring into her eyes.

"oh, Wednesday. you scared me." enid says. tiredly.

Enid stands up, makes her bed, then goes to her closet.

"morning roomie." she says.

i stand up facing my desk.

enid comes out of her closet, holding up two shirts.

"wednesday." she calls.

i turn my body to face her.

she raises her left arm, then her right.

"what one is nicer?" she questions.

i quickly turn back. "neither"

enid groans.

"i'll just wear this one."

i watch the clock.

today i'm going to check fencing out.

i'll own it.

------

i walk into the gymnasium where everyone interested in fencing is gathered in.

i wear my black fencing suit.

i walk over to the coach and see two people in the middle of a match.

one on the ground. the other standing.

"she tripped me!" the boy on the ground says, taking off his mask.

"it was a fair match." coach says.

"when am i going to get some real competition." the girl says, taking off her mask. revealing herself as Bianca, the siren.

"does no one else want to compete with me?" she says, looking around.

"i will." i answer.

"you must be the psychopath they let in!" Bianca says, turning towards me.

"you must be the self appointed queen bee." i reply.

bianca makes a face. almost like 'she's not false though.'

"fun fact about bees, pull out their stingers and they drop dead." i add.

"oooouh..." bystanders say.

"rowan doesn't need you coming to his defence. he's not clueless he's lazy." Bianca reminds.

"let's do this." i demand. we put on our masks and get into position.

"en garde." the coach says.

we begin.

after a minute i get the first point.

"Point to wednesday." coach says.

we continue a second round.

after a minute, again. Bianca gets a point.

"points are tied." coach reminds.

i take off my mask. "for the last point, i'd like to evoke military rules. no masks, no blades. winner draws first blood." i say.

Bianca looks at me, then coach.

"it's up to you, bianca." coach declares.

"let's see if you bleed in black and white." Bianca hollers.

we begin.

and we finish.

during the fight, Bianca scraped my forehead,
meaning she won.

"your face finally got that splash of colour it so desperately needed."
------ time skip

i'm at the nurses office, getting a bandage on my head, over my cut.

i stand up to leave, but i head a voice talking.

"you okay?" the voice calls.

i turn around.

"it was a fair match." i say.

"i'm rowan." he says.

"i'm Wednesday."

"sorry for the.." he points to his forehead.

i leave the room.

as soon as i leave, i hear a noise behind me, I turn around to see it's just a water fountain.

as i walk through the quad, feeling nothing but defeat, disappointment, and self shame, i hear a noise, concrete scraping.

i look up and see a gargoyle falling down, over my head.

'at least i'll have a imaginative death' i say in my head.

suddenly, i head a voice yell "Wednesday!" then i get tackled to the ground, and everything goes black.
