Part 12: Waiting for Superman

You walked on stage as the audience cheered for you. You were wearing a nice navy dress with flowers on it with shorts underneath it since you were going to dance it in later with Johnny. You were wearing some nice dark converse since they were comfortable and good to dance in. You also had a jacket that looked a bit like a certain someone's jacket but nobody brought it up. However the crew definitely noticed and Johnny thought it was cute. You also had your signature mask that was black with (f/c) strips on it.

The lights dim and you slowly exhale. You hear some chimes before you start to play your guitar. Keeping your eyes on your guitar

She's watching the taxi driver
He pulls away
She's been
Locked up inside her apartment

She says

You look up at the crowd as slightly move your head side to side

You look up before looking over to Joe and his family. They're all happy for you which made you smile under your mask.

And they spell her name"

And she smiles

You glanced backstage, seeing the other cheering you on. You locked eyes with Johnny which made you smile more before looking back at the crowd.

The crew watched you in awe. The way you sang it, you were able to hear the emotion. Johnny eyes soft as he realizes that this song is personal for you. You were just there singing and swaying with the music. The beat then starts to pick up a bit.

She says

You start to move your body with the beat but not doing too much due to the tone of the song.

Still she smiles

The crowd started to dance a bit as you felt completely relaxed. You look at Johnny just in awe as you sing. You were glad that he was starting to feel a bit better.

You slowly raise your hand to your mask, catching everyone's attention. You can feel the tension as everyone waits for you to reveal your face.

You took a quick glance at Johnny as he gave you a smile. You look at Joe and his family and Mac looks at you. You see them mouth 'Do it'.

And she smiles

You take a breath before taking off your mask and go back to play your guitar. The audience cheered as your mask fell to the stage as you continued to sing.

You finish playing and look at the audience. They started to cheer and you felt a smile form on your face. You then hear some people cheer things like 'I love you Masked Diva,' 'Finally you show yourself,' 'You go Masked Diva,' 'I love your music,' and things like that. That made your eyes water a bit as you bowed. As you walked off the stage you waved to Joe and his family as they cheered for you even louder.

You made it backstage and the crew was excited for you.

"You were amazing sweetie. Your song was beautiful," said Rosita as she looked at you like a proud parent.

"She's right but why didn't you tell us you were the Masked Diva," said Ash in a bit of an upset tone.

"Yeah. That was like totally not cool. You really are like a diva," Gunter said in a similar tone

You apologize to them but they forgave you and went back to congratulating you. You walk to put your guitar down and you feel a pair of arms snake around your waist. You were startled until you realized who it was.

"What's this for Johnny?"

"You did great."

Johnny lets go of you so you can turn around to face him.

"Thanks. I can't wait for us to sing together," you said as you fix your jacket.

"Me too. By the way, what's with this outfit?"

"Well I was going to wear something eles but when I saw this I just felt like I had to."

"You know, it kind of looks like we're matching," Johnny said in a teasing tone.

"Well we are going to do a duet together so it works. Unless it's a problem we're matching," You said, trying to match his tone.

You cross your arms as you give me a smirk. He looks at you and chuckles.

"Of course not. In fact, I think it's adorable that you wanted to match with me. You look lovely."

"Lovely? I like that," you said as you smiled.

You look at Johnny as you notice something. You bring your hand close to his face, making him raise a brow. You then gently touch his ear and see a black ring.

"I like your piercing. It's cool," you said as you continued to look at his piercing.

Johnny thanks you as you give him a smile. You stop touching his earring but instead of putting your hand back to your side. You don't know why but you gently place it on his cheek. Johnny didn't expect you to do that but he pulled your hand away. Instead he let his cheek rest in your head. You two just stare at each other.

Johnny gets a bit closer to your face making you blush. The fact that your faces were just mere inches from each other made you both a bit red. You two just stare at each other until you hear something groan in disgust. You guys turn to see Mike fixing his suit jacket with a disgusted look on his face.

"Seriously if you guys are going to do something, can you guys get a room or some shit. Nobody wants to see that crap," Mike said as he glared in disgust at you two.

"What the hell are you doing here," you said in an annoyed tone.

"Relax sweetheart, I just came to show these bozos how it's really done," Mike said in a cocky tone.

You roll your eyes at his comment and Johnny glared at Mike for his uncalled for attitude and name calling. The rest of the cast gave Mike glares but he just waltzed on stage like nothing's wrong. Mike makes his way to the stage and you roll your eyes. Johnny bumps your shoulder and asks if you want to watch. You didn't really want to watch like Mike perform but you still agreed since Johnny looked like it was starting to feel better.
