Today was training day.The team (except for Bruce who was on vacation) had just finished a group training and were now waiting for Clint to finish making his infamous Peppermint Hot Chocolate.
"How much longer" Tony groaned
"You have less patience than my children" Clint said
"Speaking of your children, how are they?" Nat asked
"They're great, they were asking about you, you have to visit sometime" Clint said
"Tell them I'll visit soon" Nat said
"How much longer" Tony grumbled again
"If you keep asking I won't give you any" Clint said
Tony grumbled under his breath but sat down and kept his mouth shut
The team continued to chat while Clint was making the cocoa.
"I have chocolate and peppermint spoons to go with the cocoa so what flavor spoon" Clint asked, almost everyone responded with peppermint
"I've never actually tried peppermint before" Peter said
"You'll love it" Tony said
"And.....done" Clint said and them started passing out mugs with peppermint hot chocolate in them
Everyone started to drink it.Peter took a sip of it, he thought it tasted good but then he started to feel like he couldn't breathe.
Peter put the mug down and started to gasp for air.
"Peter,Peter" Tony repeated going over to the teen who was going pale from lack of oxygen
Peter couldn't respond
"FRI scan him now" Tony said urgently
"It seems Peter is having an allergic reaction to the peppermint.I would suggest an EpiPen which is located in the lunch room on all floors that are for workers and interns" FRI said
Bucky ran off to get one, Nat and Tony stood infront of Peter trying to see if they could do anything.Clint was holding the boy upright so he wouldn't fall
"FRI how long has Peter been without oxygen" Tony asked
"About a minute and a half, I would say he has until about 3 minutes before he passes out" FRIDAY speaks from the ceiling
"Peter you're gonna be just fine I promise" Nat said, she was pretty good with stressful situations
Bucky then ran through the door with an EpiPen
"Hand it to me" Nat said "Pete this is probably gonna sting a bit" Nat said before taking the epipen out of the case
Tony grabbed Peter's hand, and Clint was still behind the boy holding him up
She then put the orange part to Peters thigh and pressed until she heard a click, Peter scrunched his face in pain at the needle that went into his skin
"Okay, 1,2,3" Nat said before taking it out
Peter then took a breath, after he took a few more color started to return to his face,and Tony hugged him.
"You okay" Clint asked after Tony broke away from Peter.Peter nodded in response
Epipen safety, if you ever have to use one blue to the sky orange to outer thigh.You also need to leave it in for a few seconds to let the medicine have a chance to actually get into someone's body.And wait 5 minutes before administering a second one if needed.
Fun Fact: Spiders can't have peppermint and that's where I got this idea.
