Ran woke and gazed out of his sleep. When he sees you sitting on the floor, resting your head on the edge of his bed while holding his hand, his eyes soften.

"You haven't changed... You can still sleep anywhere," he said quietly, removing some hair strands away from your face.

Maybe everything will be so smooth if things are easy to forget. If Ran can simply switch off the fear button and lower his guard, maybe he won't hold back anymore, and he'll be able to properly ask you to be his girlfriend without the fear of the past repeating itself.

If he chooses to move forward, he must make a decision and stop prolonging this charade. Either he will accept you again, will not think of the past, and will forget the pain, or he will leave you alone, cut ties, and never look back.

Maybe for some, walking away is the best decision because who would start a relationship with doubts and fear in the foundation? And to be honest, Ran considered leaving you to relieve his frustrations, but the simple sight of you, the warmth of your body against his, and the way you care for him... The young man can't bring himself to do it.

"You've really got me wrapped around your little fingers, eh?"

You woke up from the warm sunlight, kissing your cheeks that was coming from Ran's window. You lazily opened your eyes to check on the black-haired male but were surprised when you realized that you were lying on his bed next to him.

Your eyes quickly widened, unable to utter a single word as if you had found a ghost on your bed. It took you a few seconds to compose yourself and gather your thoughts.

Your surprised expression gradually gave way to a soft gaze, as you scan his sleeping face. He looks so hot, sleeping with messy hair. You thought but quickly removed them from your head. You have so many questions as to why you ended up beside him on his bed, why he treated you so coldly these past weeks, and why did he kiss you yesterday.

"Uhhh... Ran?" You whispered, but instead of opening his eyes, the young lad let out a faint groan and snaked his arms around you, hugging your warm body.

"A little more time, y/n."

"But—"

"I want to stay here... with you. Let's stay here all day."

"I can't. I need to cook you breakfast, prepare your medicine, so you can get better, and clean your room before going to the ramen house."

"Call in sick."

"What? No. I can't."

"I'll call your boss. I'll pay for your time."

"You can't just do whatever you want because you have money."

"Well, that's what my money is for; to burn." He lazily said, still snuggling to you.

"Ran!"

"Hmm?"

"Why are you acting this way? And why I'm on your bed?"

"I carried you."

"Carried? Why?" you asked, but Ran remained silent, and just rest his head on your chest. If it were another guy, he'd probably already met your fist, and teeth will be flying by now, but this is him, the man that you love since high school. You can't bring yourself to push him away. On the contrary, you want to hug him back, cherish him for the rest of your life, and never make the same mistakes again.

"Ran, please speak to me seriously."

"I am serious. I want to lay in bed with you all day."

"That's not what I want to know."
