PLOT:
Peyton Riley is a mobster's daughter, the ex-wife of an abusive husband, a lover and a fighter. She survived being riddled with bullets and becoming the second Ventriloquist.
Now she feels lost, unloved and unsure what to do for her future.
Charlie Richards has lived her entire life in Gotham City's East End, seen too much and knows too little. She is a thief, and a damn good one at that, with only the savior of the East End-Catwomen-as the only constant thing that keeps her going.
She's 23 but she still feels like a teenager, pent up and frustrated with her life.
They find each other and both feel a connection, both scared about where this will go... but they are willing to try.
OTHER:
•I totally didn't base the title on 'Kiss From A Rose' by Seal😅 (also I'm getting flashbacks to an old BatCat AMV with the same song lol)
•I'm back on my giving obscure Batman villains the spotlight agenda because it's what they deserve if DC just keeps shoving out Joker storylines🙃 (I'm totally not bitter about it though—)
•Peyton Riley is just such a sad character. She's been used and abused by so many people in her life and I think she just needs someone in her life that isn't going to hurt her :(
•Peyton and Charlie are both at a crossroads in their lives and feel stuck and then they find each other
•Charlie is scared to commit at first or fall in love and she does deal with some inadequacy issues due to the fact that Peyton is a gorgeous woman and she chose Charlie of all people (they'll eventually work this out)
•After fending off the Riley Crime Family (literally. They nearly destroy the Iceburg Lounge in the process) and some ups and downs, they eventually reach a happily ever after, spending their days at a nice beach (whether or not they become engaged is not something I have decided on yet👀)
