Tyler and I were walking home. I was feeling quite good that day because I had actually managed to pass a physics test.

"Well, you're not much of a loser now." Tyler said. I grinned.

A slight patter of rain started, I looked at him for the umbrella.

"Oh shit, I forgot to bring an umbrella." He said.

The rain started getting worse now. I started to run across the pavement, rushing past people, with Tyler at my heel. We probably looked weird. People probably thought that I was being chased.

We quickly found shelter under a bus stop.

"Ah, shit, shit, I'm drenched." He said, shaking the water off his hair.

I took of my damp jersey and wrung the water out.

Tyler sniffed and sat down. I did the same and we watched lucky people under their umbrella's walk past us.

"Hailey's gonna be so mad at me when I get home."

"Just lie and say it was my fault."

"What should I say?"

"Say that I told you to come over or something."

"No way, she'll think it's weird."

He gave me a side grin, "Would it be weird if you came over?"

"Dude, I barely know you."

"Oh come on, you can meet my kitten..." He said. I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, for a few minutes."

"Yay!!"

-

He was the figure I saw at the window. I didn't tell him that.

His kitten was cute. It was a small Gray one with a few dark stripes along its back.

"His name is Grayson." Tyler said, grinning. His parents weren't home.

I petted it a little bit and it curled up on my lap.

"Aww it likes you."

"Well, he's one of the first."

Tyler laughed.

I smiled.

He sat down on the couch next to me and petted Grayson as well.

He was so close.

"Do you like cats?" He asked. I nodded.

"Why don't you have one then?"

"Hailey's allergic."

He seemed to think for a minute, one of his brown curls falling to his eyes.

"I'll share Grayson with you then."

I smiled.

"Thank you."

-

"ACHOO- GODDAMIT ROBBY, WHY DO YOU SMELL LIKE A CAT??!" Hailey said, then sneezed again.

I hastily removed my jacket and put it away.

"Sorry."

"Gosh, sometimes I just want to stuff you away like an old teddy bear and just-" she sneezed again.

"Sorry. Again." I said.

"Yeah okay whatever."

She sneezed again.
