"I did it! I did it! I rocked that talk hard, and for a guy named spooky he's surprisingly jovial." Ruby walked up to the crew and told them with a bright smile on his face. Me and Ruby just got to school and as he proceeds to tell them the news all I could see was the dismay in Caesar's eyes.

I knew it.

That look was all I needed to know whether Ruby succeeded or not.

For a spilt second, Ceasar returned my gaze, and then looked back at Ruby. He may have been wearing a smile, but his eyes were a different story. "Compa, I love you for trying, but like I said 'the deal is done', and I don't blame you. I blame Monse."

Daaamn.

"Me?!"

"Yeah your the freaking honey badger, and you don't quit, but now you have to! We're done!"

We're done with the plan or as in a couple? I'm so confused.

Ruby walked away saying that he wasn't man enough for the name Ruben, and Jamal went to comfort him. A few moments later, Olivia stomps over to us with a permanent glare stuck on her face.

"What did you do to Ruby?" She snapped as she spat in my face. Olivia looked at each of us, but kept her glare on me a few seconds longer.

"Bitch, you need to back up. You didn't know he existed 48 hours ago, and yet your catching an attitude with us? His best friends? Who have known him since elementary? You don't have a right to be mad." I told her as I took a step forward, but Caesar raised his arm in front of me to stop me. I looked over at him to see him already meeting my eyes.

"Not here." He whispered. I watch him nod in a direction, and I followed his gaze to the principal watching the situation unfold. He's right. I'd be stupid if I picked a fight. The principal is basically breathing down my neck, watching my every move. Waiting for me to screw up just so he would expel me. I need this diploma. I can't fuck this up.

I clenched my jaw and sighed in frustration, before putting my focus back onto olivia then backing up.

"Ruby's just mad that he cant have his own room." I said in a monotone voice, and placed my bared fists into my pockets to hide them from the principal. I fixed my stance into a more relaxed position even though I'm far from it. Then lifted my head up with my jaw still clenched.
