An explosion nearly rocked the field around. Emerging from a rock was the hooded Guardian, Daniel Briggs. He emerges from cover before opening fire.
???: Ulrich, that ridge. Use that to provide support.
Ulrich: Right!
The Titan Guardian moves towards the spot and opens fire. The Guardians are facing a platoon of Fallen troops. Fireteam Eclipse was on patrol in the EDZ (European Dead Zone) when then run into a small unit of Fallen troops. A Fallen aims his rifle at Ulrich's head and was about to pull the trigger when something struck him and he gets turn to Stasis. Then a blade tears him into pieces.
Rio: Uh uh! I don't think so!
The female Guardian pulls out her rifle before shooting her targets. A few Fallen were charging in with their swords when a few arrows strike them down. Running on top of a ruined building is Grace who has her Trinity Ghoul bow out.
Then a Captain flanked by several Vandals appear.
Grace: Looks like the Captain has arrived.
Daniel: Get ready, guys.
The Fallen Captain sees them before roaring, raising his sword up. The Vandals charge at the Fireteam who attacked. After the firefight, the enemy has been defeated. Daniel sits on a piece of a building before his Ghost, Atreus appears.
Atreus: You've done well, Guardian. The Fallen Patrol has been delt with.
Daniel: Thanks, pal.
Atreus: I'm picking up a transmission from Zavala.
Zavala: Guardians, what is your status?
Daniel: Sir, our patrol is complete however we have ran into a few Fallen. We took care of it.
Zavala: I see. Return to the Tower for your next assignment. Zavala out.
Daniel: Roger.
The transmission ends.
Rio, Ulrich, and Grace approach the Hunter Guardian.
Ulrich: We got another assignment?
Rio: We never even at least one day off.
Suki: We have rested for the night before our assignments.
Ulrich: Hope this next one take us to another location besides the EDZ.
Daniel: Only one way to find out.
Atreus: We'll bring out the ship.
The Guardian's ship arrives and the team boards it.
