"Rowan! We need to talk." Monday said running after the boy.

"Monday, I'm not allowed to speak to anyone." Rowan told her not looking up.

"You had a lot to say when you tried to kill me. Told me I was destined to destroy the school, remember? Where did you get that drawing?"  Monday demanded in a voice as hard as stone.

"I just went into the woods to clear my head. Then you came after me. Wednesday." Rowan said.

"You shouldn't be here."

"Yeah, back off and leave me alone."
And with that the car drive off with Mondays only lead inside.

The girls headed to their carnivorous plants class while Wednesday whispered to Thing who was in her bag.

"I'm going to give you all the materials again..." The teacher said.

"How do you lose him in a bathroom with no windows? A lefty wouldn't have failed me." Wednesday said. Annoyed, Thing turned away "Don't sulk. I'm going to have to find new evidence myself, since you lost our only lead."

Wednesday and Monday got to choose their seats. Wednesday sat in an empty seat at the back.

"I see you finally made a friend. Even if it is a plant." Xavier joked noticing Wednesday talking to something.

"I go for quality over quantity" Wednesday told him before sitting down in her seat at the back.

Xavier sighed "There's an open spot next to me. If you can stand sitting that close to an elitist snob." Monday looked at where Wednesday was staring at her. Wednesday was expecting Monday to follow and sit next to her."

"Monday can you please sit next to Xavier please" Miss Thorn-Hill said noticing Monday was unsure of which to pick. Monday sat down and Xavier started to sketch a spider before bringing it to life.

"I doubt Monday is impressed by your tricks, Mr. Thorpe." The teacher told him.

"Admit it, you're a little impressed" Xavier smiled. Monday raised an eyebrow and smashed the creature where it turned into nothing.

"Wednesday and Monday, we're thrilled to have you both join us on our journey into the world of carnivorous plants. Now... who can tell us the name of this beauty?"

"Dendrophylax lindenii." Wednesday said.

"Otherwise known as the ghost orchid." Bianca said trying to outdo Wednesday.

"First discovered on the Isle of Wight in 1854." Monday informed.

"Very good, Wednesday and Monday. You may have competition for first chair, Bianca."

Everyone in the classroom Oohed!

"Monday, perhaps you can identify the ghost orchid's greatest qualities." Miss Thorn-hill asked.

"Resilience and adaptability." Monday stated.

"It's able to thrive in even the most hostile environments." Wednesday added.

Bianca glared at the girls "But its mere presence can change the ecosystem, causing the established plants to reject it."

"Usually because the native species is allowed to thrive unchecked." Monday said sharply.

"Nothing a Weedwhacker couldn't fix." Wednesday smirked.

"You can most certainly try." Bianca seethed.

"Are we still talking about flowers?" The teacher asked.

The class chuckled knowing this had become a stand off between Bianca and Wednesday.

"Thank you, ladies, for those illuminating insights. Clearly the plants aren't the only carnivores in class today." Miss Thorn-hill joked.
