"Yeah, I know Inez is usually three sheets to the wind, but she keeps calling the mayor and she's BS-ing that there's lights on at the old Gates place. So do a drive-by, make sure there's no squatters." The Sheriff said over the phone.
Wednesday walked inside of his office and dumped two bags in his desk "That's the claw of the monster and that's a dried blood sample from a potential suspect. He used it to dab scratches on his neck. Run the DNA test and see if they match."
The Sheriff looked at Wednesday "I'm sorry," he said sarcastically "do I work for you?"
Wednesday looked at him "You asked for concrete evidence. That's it." She gestured to the bags.
"Where'd you get this? And who's the suspect?" Sheriff Galpin asked.
"Run the test first, then I'll explain everything." Wednesday said.
"I'm not playing games, Addams." Sheriff Galpin said angrily.
"Neither am I, Sheriff."
They stared each other down until Galpin made a call "Bernice, bring me a DNA authorization form, please."
And with that Wednesday left "Hmm."

BACK AT NEVERMORE
"Why so glum?" Monday asked noticing Eugene wasn't his usual chipper self.
"Saw Enid at lunch. Asked if she got my honey." Eugene trailed off sadly.
"It's not like I didn't warn you." Wednesday said matter of factly walking over.
"Since neither you nor Wednesday have a date to the dance..." Monday began.
"We should go together!" Eugene suggested to Wednesday.
"What? No, she was going to suggest we all stake out the cave and identify the monster. Whoever it may be." Wednesday told him.
"Yeah" Monday said guiltily "I'm not going to the cave. I'm going to the dance with Enid and her date."

The door bell went but no one was at the door. When Tyler turned around her saw a note on the side. He opened it and read it.
