For coworkers who became friends,
Those who read my work to the end, those who left me such sweet comments that still comfort me in rough moments,
For my sister, who I've kept up at night,
With ideas i thought wild and bright.my brother, who I know loves me back
Even if only because I buy him snacksAnd for my beloved,
Your body has perished,
But your spirit and memory
Is forever cherishedI write this as if
you were still by my side
And publish it knowing
It'd fill you with prideFor people who found in my
work a safe space
Who I may not get to meet
or thank face to faceI hope I can still bring you
Fragments of cheer
Glimpses of empathy and
Comfort when hereI'll try to be lighthearted
Not too dark and black
But either way I'm glad you're here
Welcome back.
