The sun was covered in clouds like a child hiding behind his hands. Today marked Monday. The day every student would dread. Not Luke though, he normally would, but he today would only be excited to see the green haired boy he met at the park.
Sighing slightly, he slid on his coat, hiding his hands in the sleeves. Taking one last look in the mirror, he sighed in disgust. Fatass. His dad's words ringing through his head like a cell phone's ringtone. He wan't far from being just skin and bone, but of course he didn't see that. Grabbing his bag, be braced himself for the chilly weather and walked off to school

Michael was talking to his mates, much like any other day."Hey Ashton, do you know a Luke in this school?" He asked his nerdy friend. Ashton was the know it all- literally.
"Hemmings? No one knows much about him. He's always trying to be avoided I guess. Why?"
"No reason, just I haven't seen him around." Michael answered.
"Does the little kitten have a crushy wushy?" A dark haired and puppy like boy answered.
"Oh shut up Calum you think I have a crush on everyone." Michael shook his head, trying fairly hard to spot Luke. He finally did, a small smile forming upon his lips.
Luke was walking head down, just like Ashton said, trying to be avoided. Looking only up once, he found Michael's green hair sticking up. Looking at the jacket in his hands, he walked over to him, not really noticing he was with a few other people. His confidence fell as soon as he realized that. However, he saw him smiling, and he had enough courage to do what he wanted to. Walking up to him, his head dropped once again, causing Michael's smile to drop.
"Y-you, uhm, h-here," he said handing him his jacket, "you forgot this." Frowning, Michael took it.
"I was hoping you'd keep it. You look better in it anyway." A small blush appeared on Luke's cheeks as the boys around them as they muttered 'you go Michael'.
"W-well its yours. I-I thought you'd want it back." Luke said as he started to walk away.
"Luke?"
"Yeah?"
"Thank you."
And with that the bell rang, the halls emptying like fleeing birds. First period was Luke's English class, and so was Michael's. They were both at the top of that class, regardless of their different approaches. Luke sat in the back, while Michael sat in the front. Neither of them knowing they were in the same class, let alone existed. Today in particular however, there was a new student who took Michael's seat up front, so if course, the only open seat was next to none other than Mr. Hemmings. Head down on his desk with his pen moving, he was tapped on the shoulder.
"Uhm do you mind if I sit next to you?" Without looking up, Luke mumbled a small 'yeah', only loud enough for Michael to hear.
So the class dragged on. With lectures and quotes and yadah yadah yadah.
"Alright class! Get with your partner! We're having a project!" The teacher perked up. The students groaned as she began to explain it. "You have to come up with a poem, it has to be heart felt. Meaning no 'Roses are Red', it must be original."
Luke recieved another tap on the shoulder.
"Maybe you could over to my house to work on it?"
"It's okay, I have it all planned out, you don't have to do anything. I'll just put your name on it." Luke answered, refusing to look up.
"No! I'm not going to let you do all the work. I want to help. What's your name?"
"Luke."
"Sweater guy Luke?"
"Michael?" Luke said finally looking up. A smug smile appeared on Michael's face.
"I didn't know you were in this class!" Michael beamed.
"Ditto."
"So about the project..." He says smirking.
