The marked man had spent quite a few sleepless nights, drawing and sketching a multitude of new and innovative weaponry, to the people of these Walls at least. To him, he was simply recreating the designs and works from a bygone world and lifetime, whose technological advancements were quite similar to those he found here.

Despite the growing desire to rest and return to the realm of dreams he knew he had to complete these designs, for it was all to provide the people with the tools to fight back against their giant foes. It would also serve to honor the legacy of those who had near perished, or actually perished, in their efforts to create them. He was certain they would be proud to see their works continue to give the enemies of mankind a good thrashing.

By the fifth night he had completed his works, presenting them to the commander in private, who was left in awe. Following this the next step of their plan was to inform the higher ups of their proposition. Erwin had sent multiple letters to every high ranking commander from every military branch, the commander-in-chief included, informing them of their desire to meet in person and present what they had to offer.

Another letter had been sent to the highest authority of the Walls, the king himself. For the presence of a member of the high echelons was required for this to work, less they be seen as conspiring with the military against the crown.

To their luck responses came back to them, the kings' included. While the king couldn't personally make it to the gathering, he would send an envoy as a representative, exactly what they hoped. With that settled the two men prepared themselves to show what Maverick had to offer to the world.

Ehrmich District, South of Wall Sina

Maverick and Erwin were walking through the halls of the military offices, which they had walked not too long ago. With the many scroll holders and stand in both hands Maverick calmly looked at the halls, eyeing the portraits of past military officials and overall architecture. All the while Erwin kept his eyes forward, a serious case of butterflies in the stomach

"You good?" Maverick asked, noticing the commander's state.

"Nervous to be completely honest. Barely could finish my breakfast." He replied, unconsciously rubbing his slightly sweaty palms together. "Part of me still can't believe were actually going through with this."

He suddenly felt a few pats to his shoulder, causing him to turn and look up to his comrade, who spoke in a reassuring, almost fatherly, tone to the commander.

"Relax, It'll all work out."

The confidence radiating from him had an almost instant effect, as Erwin took a few breaths before composing himself, the odd feeling in his stomach slowly but surely dissipating. Just in time too, as the two MP's standing guard announced their presences before opening the double doors.

The moment the doors opened the two scouts were met with the familiars faces of the Commander-in-Chief, the high commander of the Military Police, the Garrison commanders of each district across every wall, and the head instructors of the Training Corps.

And last, but most certainly not least, was a new face seated next to Zachary, who immediately set his sights to the marked man, and vice versa. Like many of the military personnel he was dressed in an olive green dress coat adorned with a bolo tie with a ruby gemstone. What peaked Maverick's interest was the coat of arms stitched to the man's left coat pocket, which displayed no emblem of any of the four regiments. A sign of his allegiance to the upper echelons no doubt.

Time seemed to slow down as the two men kept their eyes on one another, Maverick displaying a neutral and studious expression, while the assemblyman tried to emulate his look, but faltered at the sight of the larger man's glowing blue eyes. It was as if they were peering into his soul.
