Ash, Cobalt, and Green lead the group as they walk toward Stow-On-Side, with Gary and Serena logging behind just as they walk past a wooden sign. As they pass by a huge arch, they come across a small desert town.

Gary: Well, so far as I know, this is the only town for miles. This must be the place, right?

Ash: I think so. Serena?

Serena: *checks PokeNav* Let's see.....Yeah, this is Stow-On-Side.

Cobalt: Hell yeah! And that means Battle Frontier!

Ash: So that means we should put in some extra training.

Gary: *nods* Alright, then. You guys get started on training. I'll book us in at the Pokemon Center.

Ash and Serena nod as Gary walks away, eliciting them both to release the rest of their Pokemon. However, as Ash's party greeted their trainer, the rest of them besides Cobalt, Green, and Psi stared at Jaws in shock and disbelief... Especially when they decided to playfully bite down on Ash's head, despite the boy's disagreement.

Ash: AW COME ON, JAWS! I AM NOT A SNACK!

Yami: Uh.... Guys, I try to be mostly accepting, but... What in Arceus's name is that?!

Green: Guys, this is the newest member of our party. Meet Jaws, they're a Dracovish. A fossil Pokemon from here in Galar.

Ash: And someone that loves to bite my head when I send them, may I add.

Kabu: How..... Peculiar.

Aiden simply looked at the frankenstein-like fish as they also stared back with their beady eyes. There was no way that thing could be real.

Hunter: Is....Jaws, was it?.... Are they a Water-type? Because they're one odd looking Water Type.

Psi: Actually, based on the fossils that were used, I hypothesize that Jaws is a Water and Dragon type.

Kestrel: THIS?! This is a Dragon-type?!

Meanwhile, Azula was watching with slight apprehension at the new member. Most water types that she saw were the epitome of beauty. This thing looked like an abomination of science. However, Jaws then let Ash go and started to roll around in the sand before charging into the nearby pond.

Ash: Restored it from fossils, they went on a rampage only to find they wanted to swim. The scientists got the data for them, so we decided to let them tag along.

Gary then comes back out, smirking to see the other Pokemon out as he hands th other two humans room keys.

Gary: Alright, got us some rooms. Now, Ashy-boy, let's get to training.

And so, both Gary and Ash's parties traded blow in a large sparring match. Blastoise was training the Pokemon in endurance and critical hit aiming and Jolteon was running around the area, trying to teach mor recent members like Kestrel, Hunter, and Kabu precision striking. The only odd ones out being Jaws and Arctozolt, who were simply battling...

I mean, they would if the only move Jaws would use wasn't Hydro Pump.

Gary: Alright, Arctozolt, use Bolt Beak!

Bolt Beak was the move Arctozolt had used just earlier. Gary had decided to name it himself as his Pokemon's beam coated in electricity and it charged... Only to be countered by Hydro Pump.

Gary: *annoyed* Seriously, Ash? Doesn't that thing know anything else besides Hydro Pump?

Ash: I'm not sure. Hydro Pump's the only move I've seen Jaws use.
