Why him? (Cato love story)

Chap. 4

I was woken by someone rubbing my side. I open my eyes to see who was touching me.

"Sorry, did I wake you?" Cato asks.

"A little but it's okay. I'm glad it was you who was touching me not Marvel or Peeta." I answer.

"Peeta?" He asks confused.

"District 12."

"Oh, him." He says displeased.

"I think he likes Fire girl. We could use him to get her."

"That's.... genious!"

"Yeah, well, we should go to our lessons."

We change and walk out to breakfast.

We decided to get ready for the interviews together but change seperately to surprise eachother with one and others outfits.

"So, Amanda, what is your approach?" Enobaria asks.

"I dunno, I don't have one yet..."

"You should be yourself; lovable, nice, sexy and fierce." Artemis says smiling.

"She is definately sexy." Jupiter and Brutus say.

Cato glares but the guys just punch him playfully.

"How about you, Cato? Heartless?" Jupiter asks.

"Yes because Mandy and Rose have my heart."

"Aww, Cato that's so cute." I say.

"I try."

"Now, Amanda, do you know how to walk in heels?" Ellie asks.

"Of course! I love high heels!"

"Good." Artemis says.

"I mean look at Cato, he's huge! I wear them frequently."

"I think we are ready. You guys have great manners and such so go watch a movie or something." Ellie says.

"Okay." Cato said.

"Oh, I know Mandy was with you last night." Enobaria says.

"Nothing happened, calm your knickers." He counters.

"Really? Amanda?" Artemis asks.

"Nothing! C'mon Cato." I say and grab his wrist and pull him through the door.

I close the door and sit down.

"What movie?" He asks.

"I don't care."

"Comedy, horror, romance?"

"Rom-com."

"You pick."

"Fine, Letters to Juliet."

"Okay."

"Your movie over?" Ellie asks.

"Yeah!" I yell enthousiasticly.

"Amanda go to Artemis and get changed please."

"Okay. Bye!" I say walking to my room.

"Here's your dress." Artemis says as I walk in.

She does my hair and make up super quick and helps me into the dress.

"You look amazing in red!" She exclaims.

"Thanks."

I look in the mirror and look my dress. It was orangey red that was beautiful, with a little puff at the top and a ribbon with a bow below my bust. It went to my feet and I wore red heels on them. My hair was in a half bun, half ponytail.

I walked out and saw Cato in a greyish blue suit, black shirt and had his hair spiked at the front.

"You look... amazingly beautiful!" Cato says smiling.

"Thanks you look amazingly handsome."

Glimmer went first with the whole sexy look and did amazing. Marvel went with strong and confident. Next was me.

I walk over to Caesar and shake his hand.

"Hello, Amanda."

"Hi, Caesar."

We sit down.

"So, why did you volunteer?"

"That was my sister. Her and my boyfriend had this plan that if I got reaped they would volunteer for me. I didn't like it so when she was, I volunteered."

"So you have a boyfriend?"

"Yes."

"Who?"

I looked at Cato and he nodded, silently telling me I could tell everyone.

"My boyfriend is Cato Ludwig, my district partner."

"Well, that's awful."

"Yeah, it is."

"Well thank you, Amanda. May the odds be ever in your favor."

"Thank you." I say and walk off the stage.

Now it's Cato's turn....

"Hello, Cato! So that was your girlfriend."

"Yes that was, I love her very much. Always have, always will."

"That's cute, so are you always romantic or do you have a violent side as well?"

"Honestly, I am more of a fighter than a lover. I'm heartless except when it comes to Mandy and Rose, my little sister and sometimes Clove, Amanda's sister."

"Rose? I want more."

"Her name is Rosemary, she's 5. I'm her guardian but Mandy and Clove help me watch her. Clove is watching her right now actually. My parents died as peace keepers. I love her. I'm going to win for her or get Amanda to win and look after her."

"Well thank you, Cato!"

Everyone else was boring except Peeta who told everyone he loved Fire girl. She was definately mad.

Me and Cato are in his bed cuddling, trying to enjoy are last day before the Games. We planned out all our allies and such, then I fell asleep.
