"Hello principessa" viktor sits in the single chair that occupies the corner of the room. A pistol in hand. I can see from here that the safeties off. Merda.

Karma I suppose, I should have never been hopeful. How depressing.

"So how are you on this fine night?" I can't decide whether or not to give up my act of innocence completely. It's kinda suspicious when he's seen I've got a garage full of various weapons.

"I was alright, and then someone inconvenienced me" he's inspecting the pistol in his hand. I quickly notice he took it of the wall. But all of the ammo is locked up by a combination lock. Could he have opened it? Or is he bluffing?

"How annoying of them. You should really give them a taking to" I start to walk around the table that occupies the middle of the room. Trailing my finger along the top of it as I walk.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you principessa" he held the pistol up lazily. I've already decided that he's only bluffing about having the ammunition for the gun. There was no more ammunition from the last few days, we had run out since the last ambush.

"Why's that principe?" the new nickname came to my head quickly. I need to distract him with my words, so he's not paying attention to my actions.

"I wouldn't want to ruin that pretty little face of yours, it would be such a waste." He stood up to his full height. Dallying in my direction. I have few guns in this garage already loaded with ammunition. But there's a select few, three to be precise.
One is a standard pistol, on one of the bottom hooks. Someone tall wouldn't go for something low down in a rush, especially if it not placed on the end or in the middle. They'd reach for something on eye level. A rifle, far too inconvenient for use in this compact area. But not impossible. And the last gem was another pistol, engraved with the saying 'count your shots', only here to look ornamental. It never draws much attention because it's on the highest hooks, too high for anyone to just reach for. I've got a stool tucked away just below.

I think the bottom pistol is almost within hand reach, i memorised it's position so I wouldn't have to look at it in a situation like this. Giving away my plan and it's secret. But it's been a while since I was here.

"Exactly, it would be a shame." I raise my hands in mock surrender, pulling his eyes towards them. As he looks at them I spare a glance in the direction that the pistol should be. Bulls-eye. I know it's exact position, I just need to move a few more steps forward.

"What if I were to just leave? We forget everything about this encounter. And no one gets their face ruined" I move two steps forward, lacing my voice with that girly sweetness that gets you what you want. Sometimes.

"I don't think so love, as I said. I have a few questions for you to answer" he gestures around the garage. One more step. One more step is all I need.

"Aw too bad, I just don't feel like taking right now" his face showed a millisecond of shock at my unexpected fight.

It happened so fast I barely registered my own hand gripping on to the pistol, releasing the safety, and raising it to his face. I gripped it for dear life.

"Woah there principessa. I know these aren't loaded. So do you. Don't do anything stupid" idiota, underestimates me yet again.

"You wanna bet?" I fired a shot to his right, the noise was a shock to the silence, there was a tiny wedge in the wall where the bullet hit. His face was full of shock. "You're biggest mistake is underestimating me" he lets out a low chuckle. What in the-?

"What are you laughing about?" My voice seethes with annoyance. Trying not to let the doubt creep in.

"I'm just shocked. And I'm never shocked. You've been hiding out on me. I knew it was weird when you had a better shot than my own professional hired killers. I just never knew you had the guts or the arsenal to be an assassin" he lets out another laugh.

He couldn't know. He's just making a joke out of it. Which I accept if it means he doesn't know the real reason behind this place. "I'm full of surprises, now I will be taking my leave. And you will never even search my name up again. If you do, the next shot won't be a warning."

I start backing up, not facing away from him, in brute strength he would win. I could put up a fight and with a few lucky punches I might win, though it's an unlikely scenario. But I don't want to kill him, not really. It's too big a target on my back. And so, I need to get out of here with minimal damage. I haven't got the money, but I can get in somehow. Whether I circle back and grab it in a few days. Or I could access my off-shore account. It shouldn't ping on their servers, unless they were specifically looking for it. Is there enough suspicion to warrant that check? Do I want to risk it?

"You're smart principessa, too smart to be who you pretend to be. We both know that." He walks towards me whilst I back up. Does he have a death wish?

"I'm smart enough to know someone trying to stall for either backup or a chance at regaining control over this situation" I move the pistol to refocus my aim. Reminding him whose got the power right now.

"I'm not stupid love, you're obviously more important than I thought in this game of cat and mouse. Too important to simply let go. You're a mystery I intend to unravel." He's moving forward faster than I'm moving backwards.

"Back the hell up" I wave the gun at him, a hint of worry accidentally hitting my voice. "Now"

"You aren't going to shoot me principessa. We both know you're too intelligent to not realise the consequences." I'm nearly at the door. But so is he.

"How many times do i have to repeat myself? Don't. Bloody. Underestimate. Me." I shot his leg. "Call this payback for the beginning" I knew that it was only a surface wound, but it was enough for him to let out a grunt in pain.

His face contorted into a pained smirk "you continue to surprise me love, I don't know whether to be annoyed or impressed."

"You can be both if it makes you happy." I give him the falsest of smiles. I open the door and am half way through the threshold. The cold hit me like a truck. "Stay" I order him as if he was a dog. But he didn't listen, before I could react he was within arms reach and my debate over whether or not to shoot him again cost me valuable time. I don't want to kill him, I didn't want to kill him.

"You were so close principessa" his breath is hot on my neck, he pulled me in close by the waist and then let go quickly. The taser in his hand touching the side of my belly. Sending electric shocks coursing throughout my body. How had I been so stupid as to not realise he took it of the back of the chair. Of course he would have looked around. Of course he would have checked the back of the chair. Of course he wouldn't be fucking stupid. Just my luck. Karma's a bitch.
