21: Falling

The days grow cold,
The light fades away
I lay here staring at the ceiling,
Thinking what could be and what could've been.

Trapped in my mind, I feel so enticed,
So captured and so trapped.

The feeling never fades,
Due to complexes and complexity

I've fallen.
Fallen from a cliff.

I fall.
Fall to infinity.
Fall amd I see no ground.

Yet I see a light.
A light that shines brightly,
Off in the distance.

I grasp out to it,
Try to touch it.
Feel it.
A presence. Even a sliver,
Could save me now.

I start to tremble,
Ever so slightly.

The picture is blurry and faded, yet I stare at it.
A shining light,
As I Fall.

I see you,
You who understands
You who cares

Cares for even the slightest thing I do.
What is this?
I don't know this.

Let me understand.
Please.
I beg you.

I stare off in the distance,
Falling.

I see you,
Sharper and sharper.
I smile slightly,
For if I die,
I shall rememeber.

The good you've done for me,
Even if you haven't seen it.

Your touch
Your laughter
Your smile

It warms my cold heart
A heart I didn't know existed.

I've been broken so many times and yet...

I'm falling.

The touch of your skin
The coldness you give off and yet,
You feel so warm.
So giving,
So kind.
It makes me smile.

Smile in ways I didn't know I could.
Smile in a way I know it'll hurt and yet,
Yet I do not care.
I'm falling.

The smile you give,
The laughter you get,
So warm,
So intoxicating.

I want more of it.

Yet so selfish.

I want it.
I need it.
Please.

I'm falling.
Falling more and more.
