The Amulet

Steve's POV:

I remembered about the pain. Bloom had told me about her disease. I wanted to help her but how?

After having breakfast, an idea popped into my mind. "Amor, can I please have a word with you." I asked him at the table.

"Go on" he said taking the last piece in his mouth. "Ah I would want it to be a little more private." I whispered in his ears. He glared at me with confusion.

"Oh, yeah I remember I promised you." he said trying to make our conversation more formal for Porta.

We walked outside the palace. Through the way we were all silent. As soon as we reached the garden Amor paused and waited for me to speak.

"Blo...... Sorry Ignis told me about her disease." I said. But I paused remembering that we had promised each other to keep our secrets safe.

He gazed at me straight into my eyes. "Lets go see the Healer." Amor said and we flew to a small hut. I was shocked. I mean he understood me. "You can wait here, right?" he said as we landed.

I simply nodded. I kept waiting..... And waiting ...... And waiting but he didn't came out I was about to push the door when he opened it and came out.

"So......." I said. "You have done a very good deed today Nix. I thank you for your concern." he said and flew. "Wait" I said and tried to catch up but he was way to fast.

After landing he rushed inside the palace. I followed him still not knowing what was happening. We went straight to the dining room and met Bloom and Porta there.

"We need to talk, the four of us." Amor said in front of Porta. He stared at him for a while. "Lets go to her room then." Porta said.

Bloom looked at me and gave 'what's-happening' look and I returned it with 'I-don't-know'. Then we followed Porta until we reached her room.

I was observing the details. "Listen" Amor said. "Ignis I'm sorry I read his mind and I know about your disease." Amor said and Bloom turned at me.

"Don't get mad at him, besides you should be thanking him." he said and I sighed. "What's this all about?" Porta said. "I went to the healer, he said its not a disease. Its a curse and it would have eventually killed her by August." Amor started explaining.

The room turned silence. "Someone from the Kingdom of darkness has been with her and has tried to kill her with pain." I turned to Bloom and I could see tears forming in her eyes.

"Nix, thank you." Porta said and bowed at me. I was so shocked myself I didn't even spoke a word. "Is there a way?" Porta asked to Amor. "There's always a way." Amor said smiling.

"The Amulet" he said and opened his closed fist. In their was a locket in a chain. The locket had a purple stone in it. "This is the amulet of Dragon Stone." Amor said.

"It's made for her." Porta said looking at Bloom. "Are y-you sure, t-this is going to block the c-curse." I spoke and found myself shuttering. My eyes were still fixed at her.

"It will work but Ignis, promise me you will never take it off." Amor handed the amulet to Bloom and she nodded with tears ready to roll at any moment.

"Take your time, dear but before you get busy with tonight's celebration we need to talk." Amor said and left. Porta patted at my shoulder and he also left.

As the room went silence I could see the drop of tears making their way out of her pretty eyes.
