1800-1822 "THE NAPOLEON WARS AND THE INDEPENDENCE OF BRAZIL"

The European continent was going through a great war of coalitions, but everyone called it the Napoleonic Wars, because the person who most won and defeated the most powerful countries on the continent was the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, since he took the throne after the French revolution, Napoleon started wars against Austria, Prussia, the United Kingdom and others.

But France won all countries on the continent, except the United Kingdom, because with the navy, they stopped Napoleon's invasion of the British Isles, and to end the British economy, Napoleon implemented the continental blockade system, no country in Europe could do business with England, and all countries obeyed, with the exception of one, the Kingdom of Portugal.

Then, as a reprisal, Napoleon invaded and conquered the country, but the king of Portugal Dom João VI, and the entire Portuguese court fled before the capture, and went to one of their colonies, Brazil, which belonged to them since 1500, and during During his stay, the king signed a decree that released the Brazilian port to do business with other countries, built infrastructure, European architecture, the military and naval academy.

With the defeat of Napoleon in 1815, things were not good for Portugal, as the king and several of his commodants were in Brazil, as Dom João VI, and several people did not want to return to Portugal so soon, as they settled and invested a lot in Brazil, so to resolve this he raised Brazil from the State of Brazil to the Kingdom of Brazil, or in this case, the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves, however, that did not make the Portuguese happy.

Then Brazil annexed Cisplatina, or Uruguay, there was a revolution in northeastern Brazil, but that was resolved, the Portuguese in Portugal were not happy with their leaders in Brazilian territory, they demanded that the king return to Portugal, and also that Brazil becomes a colony again, but the Brazilians didn't like that, so to resolve this, they sent Dom João VI back to Portugal, but he leaves his son Prince Pedro de Alcântara in Brazil.

The Portuguese also demanded that he return, but he decided to stay, with that day becoming known as "DIA DO FICO", where the prince said he would stay in Brazil, later on, when Pedro was solving some problems in the province of São Paulo , he receives a warning letter from his wife, saying that the Portuguese wanted to take away Brazilian autonomy, so on September 7, 1822, on the banks of the Ipiranga River, he himself shouted "INDEPENDENCIA OU MORTE!" brazil war of independence.

1822-1857 "THE FIRST REIGN"

For a month, Brazil fought for its independence, and managed to gain independence in November 1822 and became an empire, with Pedro de Alcântara becoming Emperor Dom Pedro I, and not only Brazil became independent, all of America -Spanish underwent several independence movements before Brazil's independence.

And in one of these regions known as Alto Peru, it was going through moments of insecurity, so in June 1822, the three governors of the Spanish departments of Alto Peru, from which they were already threatened by the troops of generals Antônio José de Sucres and Simon Bolívar, met in Cuiabá, capital of the captaincy of Mato Grosso, and asked the governor to intercede with the prince regent Dom Pedro, so that Brazil annexed these territories, aiming to spare its population from chaos, because for them, it was better to be occupied for a nation of liberal monarchical character than to venture into being a fragile and uncertain republic.

Immediately, in July of that same year, the governor of Mato Grosso sent troops that were stationed in the captaincy to Alto Peru, these troops closed the borders and prevented the advance of the troops of the two generals, and in a letter, the governor of Mato Grosso he sent the proposal of the local authorities and the communiqué on the order to deploy the troops to the Prince Regent.
