So for the sake of my sanity with the way things played out in the show... I'm changing things up. Atleast in the aspect of the Jason situation. Especially since (last I heard) they canceled the show... Again. And the whole thing with Danian? Yeah no. Changing that up a bit too.

The first Christmas spent with Dick was difficult. Not having his Mother or Father to celebrate was hard on him. It was even harder considering his birthday was December 1st. His 9th birthday to be precise, and he wanted nothing to do with festivities. However, you and Bruce spared no expense when it came to the holidays. Which was normal. When Christmas Eve came around you were reading your favorite Christmas novels. Not to yourself, but to your unborn child. You stopped reading when the couch shifted next to you and you looked to find Dick. He was sitting there and he looked at you shyly.

"C-could you read to me?" He asked and you nodded. He snuggled into your side and you wrapped your left arm around him. You cleared your throat as you switched to a different book.

"A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens." You started. "One Christmas Eve, Scrooge, an old man, still sat busy in his office. The weather was cold-" And that was the start of Dick's favorite Christmas tradition. He didn't care about the presents as much as he did the time you and Bruce spent with him on Christmas Eve.

By the time you and Bruce adopted Jason your daughter, Aria Wayne, was 8 years old. Dicks birthday came and went, but he was more excited to have another sibling to enjoy Christmas Eve with. He came running in dragging Jason with him. The younger boy was confused but let it happen. When he saw you, Bruce, and Aria already waiting he thought he did something wrong.

"What did I do this time?" He asked and you laughed.

"Oh you didn't do anything wrong sweetheart." You tell him.

"But! It is time for the Christmas Eve tradition!" Dick said excitedly and shoved Jason onto the couch next to you. "Can you read my favorite one this year, Mom?" Dick asked and you chuckled as you opened the book to his favorite.

"A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens." You said and nostalgia hit you when Dick picked Aria up and they both snuggled into your side. "One Christmas Eve, Scrooge, an old man, still sat busy in his office." You started the story, and soon enough Jason was pulled into the appeal. He enjoyed the feeling of an actual family, and cuddled into your other side. Bruce smiled softly from his armchair where he sat drinking his nightly tea.

Your book of Christmas tales sat idle on its shelf. After Jason died you didn't feel yourself, and had only read the book on Christmas Eve. Only because Dick and Aria begged you to, and when those two teamed up it was difficult to deny them. You reached up and allowed your fingers to brush the spine of the old worn book. There was no denying the book was far more worn out than it should've been. After Jason died, Aria temporarily took the mantle of Robin. Only until Bruce could find someone who he felt was worthy of the title. She was the first female Robin, and she wasn't too fond of it. As soon as Bruce adopted Tim, she sheded the suit and took on the name Mocking Bird. She had confided in you that she felt like a fraud wearing Jason's uniform.

Tim. Dear, sweet Timmy. You adored the young boy, and decided to regain your love for your beloved Christmas novels. You sit down in your usual seat on the couch and open the book. Which seemed to have summoned Dick from wherever he was, to you. He walked into the livingroom and spotted the book in your hands. He clapped happily and ran to get everyone else. Minutes later he was hauling Tim into the livingroom, while Bruce and Aria took to their usual spots.
