"Wanna hang out?" Xavier said over the phone. "Sure. Just let me get ready." I replied. "Also, I was thinking uhm," he stammered. "What's up?" "Do you wanna come to m-my dorm?" I laughed, "Yeah sure you weirdo. On my way." I said then hung up. Xavier is such a dork. I decided to put on a vans T-shirt and some shorts. I put on my shoes and left, grabbing my art bag and phone. Even though we girls weren't allowed in the boy's halls, my powers helped me escape that rule. I was able to walk freely past the security to Xavier's room. I opened the door and shut it behind me. There was a boy sitting on his bed across from Xaviers but he was nowhere to be found. The boy was kind of cute. His hair was pushed to one side. It was a brunette-type color and he was wearing glasses. He looked up at me, we made eye contact and his eyes were mesmerizing. We were both silent till Xavier came out of the bathroom, "Oh hey Audy!"(ur nickname😝🤞) he said then looked at the boy, "I see you've met Rowan. He's my roommate." I nodded my head, "Nice to meet you, Rowan. I'm Audrey, Audrey Kaylan." I said, still looking at him. He looked me up and down and I felt embarrassed. I didn't even dress cutely at all. I forgot Xavier had a roommate. "Nice to meet you too, Audrey." He replied in his velvet voice. He then looked back down at his book. I swallowed and looked at Xavier. "I uh brought some art stuff so we can work on what we didn't finish last time," I explained. Xavier nodded his head and brought a chair up to his desk for me. We started to work on our paintings and talked about school and the upcoming Poe Cup. We are gonna be on different teams but it didn't matter. I was with Bianca and he was with Rowan, Ajax, and all his friends. They chose the jester theme and we were the gold bugs.
An hour or two passed and it was pretty late. "I should get going," I said sleepily. "No! I-I mean yeah of course! I Can walk you back if you want?" Xavier said. "Hm, I don't know if I want a crazy like you walking me back" I joked. He had been being so weird the entire time I was there. He gave me a look and I laughed, "I'm kidding, Xai(it's pronounced like the start of Xavier) I'll be fine though. Good night." I said and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his face in my neck. He didn't do that often, "Hey," I lifted his head, "is everything okay?" I asked worriedly. "Yeah, yeah, everything's fine." He breathed. I smiled at him and left. I walked outside to cross buildings and it was dark and kinda cold. I heard footsteps behind me and turned around. It was Rowan, "Audrey," he said to me, breathless. "Rowan? What are you doing out here?" I asked looking around. "I just uh," he scratched the back of his head, "it's cold and Xavier didn't give you a jacket so here." He said, handing me a soccer team hoodie. "I played on that team before I came to Nevermore." He explained. I looked at him, "Thanks Rowan, I appreciate it." I thanked him. He grinned and it was so cute. "Hey uh, do you have your phone on you?" I asked him. He quickly jumbled his phone out of his pocket, "Yeah!" "Here," I said, taking his phone and putting my number in his contacts. His eyes lit up at every number I tapped. "T-thanks..." he said breathlessly. "No problem. See you tomorrow." I replied, smiling at him and putting his hoodie on.
