I stare at the boy in front of me blankly. Where am I? Why do I feel like I know him?
And how the hell did I get here?
"I love you, (Y/N)," the boy says. Rin?

I look at the two smile at each other. Pheles is in the darkness with me, also smiling at the couple. Butterflies in all colors are flying and resting on trees, flowers, everywhere. A blue butterfly lands on Pheles's hand and flies away immediately, only to fly right through me.
"Aren't they happy together?" Pheles asks, glancing at me.
"Yeah, I guess they are," I answer, blinking the tears away.
"Isn't that what matters?" he questions. "For Rin to be happy?"
"Yeah."
"Even if you wouldn't be by his side?"
"Yeah."
It's weird to not have a name anymore, after having one for half the school year. I have nothing left. Not even a body on the human's plane. (Y/N) was my only chance, now I have nothing. Nothing but Rin's smile.
Pheles looks at me, my hands starting to disappear. He places his own hand on my shoulder.
"You're one of the best students I've ever had the pleasure to watch over."
I look at him one final time. I'm mostly gone now. The final thing I see is the two in the clearing, Rin and the real (Y/N), leaning in for a kiss. Pheles has vanished. I just stand there, looking at them. The smile literally disappears, and, soon, I am living in pure darkness.
You should be happy.
I am.
