Chapter 35

Gia's P.O.V:

Around 2PM, I was leaving the grocery store when my phone rang. I loaded the car and answered my phone . "Hey Arielle." I said. "Hey girl. Where you at ?" She asked me. "I'm leaving the grocery store. Why, you ain't at my house yet, are you ?" I wanted to know. "Nah, I was just asking because I wanted to know what time you wanted me to come over." My best friend says. "Ohh, okay. Well I'll be home in like 10 15 minutes. I'll call you when I'm home." I told her.
"Sounds good I'll see you then." Arielle said. "Bye." I said. And then I hung up the phone. I got in my car and strapped my seatbelt. Then I started the car. I was pulling out of the parking lot when suddenly I felt as if somebody was following me. I ignored it for a few minutes until my phone rang. I checked the caller ID. It said "August💍🔐". I answered the phone and put it on speaker. "Hello ?" I said. "Hey, babe. What you doing ?" He asked. "Driving home. How's everything at the studio ?" I said. "Everything's good. But more importantly, how you feeling ? Everything's okay right ? No disturbing calls or voicemails ?" Aug asked. "Surprisingly, no. But I'm leaving the grocery store and I feel like somebody's following me." I told him. I look in my mirror and see a white SUV right behind me. "Are you sure baby ?" August asked. I watched the vehicle carefully and I knew I wasn't seeing things. The car took every turn that I did. "I'm positive. They're following me and I'm about to start freaking out." I said. My heart rate increased and not in a good way. I was really scared. "Damn. See, I knew I should've stayed with you today. Look baby, try to remain calm and don't go home okay ? We don't want him finding out where you live." August says to me.
I took a deep breath and tried to remain calm. "Where am I gonna go ?" I said, driving past Mc'Donalds. "Go to a nearby mall or somerthing. Bae I'm about to leave the studio and come get you." Aug says. "August I'm scared." I said. "I know baby. I'm leaving the studio. Just stay wherever you are , okay ? And stay on the phone with me." August tells me. I turned into the parking lot of Walmart and the white SUV followed. "I drove into the parking lot of Walmart." I said. "Which Walmart?" Aug asked. "The one on Stormy Ave." I said. (I made up the name 😂😂). "Oh aight. Say no more baby. I'm leaving right now." He says. I park my car and try to maintain my breathing. This is getting out of hand. "Okay." I said. "You okay ?" He asked. I heard a car engine start on August's end of the phone. "Okay , baby. Don't hang up, aight ?" He says. "It only takes me 10 to 15 minutes to get to Stormy Ave." He says to me. "Okay, baby." I said. I put the phone down but Aug was still on speaker.
I just sat here waiting for August to come save me. It's sad that I can't even go out without being harassed or followed. Really ridiculous. About 15 minutes later, I see August's Cranberry colored Range Rover pull up in the parking lot. He told me not to hang up but he said he had to hang up because a cop was following him.
Anyway, He saw my car and ran up to me. "Hey baby. You okay ?" He asked, getting in the car. He kissed me on the forehead and then the lips. "Yeah. I'm fine. The car literally just left." I said. "Are you serious ?" He said. "Yeah. I'm sorry for making you drive all the way here for nothing." I said. "Baby, you didn't make me do anything. You my girl, and it's my responsibility to protect you. So I had to come here to make sure you were okay." Aug tells me, grabbing my hand, bringing it to his mouth to kiss it. "Thanks baby."I said to him."For what ?" He asked. "For being there for me.We've only been together for literally a few days and you're already the best boyfriend I could ever ask for." I told him. He looked at me and smiled. "Aw,baby. That's what I'm here for. I ain't going nowhere." He tells me. I smiled. "I know. Me either." I said.

*Hey guys I stayed home from school today so I got the house to myself 😈😈😈
