"Strike!"
The sound of the TV echoed around one specific lane, and the flash of gold and blue as the words displayed across the screen, showing off to the opposing team that all the spins had been knocked down in one go.
Todoroki blinked, before turning around and seeing the shocked expressions of the group he was with, seeing Katsuki with a hint of a smile on his face, "did I do it right?" he asked.
He's never done bowling before, Katsuki gave the brief outline that all you have to do is roll the ball down the lane, and knock the pins over.
So he did.
But he was confused by the expressions Asashi and Akria were giving him, they seemed surprised and kind of intimidated by him.
But it soon disappeared, when a challenging smirk took over their features, obviously no longer seem to look like they were going to go easy on him and Katsuki.
And they didn't
The game conceded several strikes and other spares and even a few doubles, the group of four took the game seriously, and Katsuki was enjoying it very much.
When it used to be him and his dad playing against the couple, it wasn't as intense as this. Sure, Akira and Katsuki made it seem like their whole life was laid out depending on the outcome of the game.
But it was hard when she was 19 and he was only 12. She was young, yes, 29 with two young kids, married when she was 20, before a year later finding out she was pregnant with her firstborn Izumi, three years later and out popped Daichi.
Of course, after Izumi was born it was harder for the family to do their usual Saturday bowling night, with the baby and; Akira moving out.
He missed her when she was gone, (never say it out loud) but the two had a strong bond, one that even distance couldn't stop them. Course when Kastuki went into college and moved into the dorms.
That was hard for the time being, but they called and texted every day, catching up and hearing all of the stories about the kids and what each of them was up to these days.
Akira was suspicious of her brother's relationship with Todoroki, and it wasn't that she didn't like the boy, in fact, she enjoyed him a lot, he had an interesting sense of humour.
He knew how to deal with kids to an extent and was rather polite which may have rubbed onto Katsuki at some point during their relationship. But, the relationship wasn't speaking boyfriends to her.
In fact, it was more like two friends crushing on each other and too oblivious to realise it. They acted like friends most times, but in others, it was like they just suddenly remembered they were partners.
