It was a comforting morning for Todoroki to put it simply. Waking up early, only to find himself getting little spooned by Katsuki. He was refreshed by it, after having a stressful day yesterday and very early this morning, he felt cleansed thanks to Bakugo, not fearing the anxiety and fear of the incident putting a halt on his excitement for today and tomorrow.

He was still biting his nails at the thought of what he did do if he decided to give his father another chance after he's already had so many. But he didn't want to get his hopes up, if it was only going to get shut down instantly.

He didn't want to go through that pain again.

The best course of action he decided to take before falling asleep after he replayed his conversation with Kirishima was to wait it out, wait until he was actually willing to see if Enji was true to his words.

But he wasn't going to get his hopes up, he was just going to listen and take the easiest route to not get heartbroken again, something that will either reveal his dad is trusting or something that will never make him make the same mistake again.

After getting up and getting ready he enjoyed a gourmet breakfast served by Tamiko, who apparently owns a restaurant in Tokyo. She had top-of-the-chain food prepped for the family, food to make anyone weak in the knees, and chefs' kiss quality.

Todoroki was all over the pancakes, so fluffy and so golden he didn't complain that was all he ate, not trying the other dishes. He may or may not have heard from Daichi that Tamiko was making a bowl of cold soba for dinner, just for Shoto.

Aunt Tammy just became his favourite aunt. 

Bakugo was also in a positive mood, removing several weights off his shoulders after discussing his difficult past. When he was a kid in primary school he was close-ish to everyone.

But when things went downhill in middle school,  he just rejected everyone, including the moppy green-haired Deku. Katsuki became the kid in school you don't want to mess with; he became a delinquent.

He blamed himself for the reason his family got into so many arguments, the reason his sister moved out, the reason Tamiko and Hinata almost got a divorce, and the reason everyone was always so tense.
