The skies have cleared up tonight,
But only one star does shine bright.
Few clouds cover the sky,
But is that true, or is it a lie?

I look down on the world around me,
Nothing stirs, nothing is all I see.
A quiet radio, a zooming car,
Are all I hear, near and far.

Look closer at the deep dark sky,
Tiny stars blink up, up high.
All the clouds have gone away now,
Suddenly I know, the bright stars vow.

Change your perspective, look from somewhere new.
Hundreds of stars, all hidden from your view.
Hiding behind objects blocking your eyes path,
They all know, and they all come to pass.

Passing on the sorrows of the world,
Coming to accept them as they unfurled.
The vow the brightest star had made,
Was to watch and learn, all the while it will fade.

The being watching me, now I know.
Was the stars punishment, reaping what they sow.
Watching humans suffer, thrive and demand,
Is the punishment for all who understand.

A stupid mosquito just bit my ear while I was sitting writing this wtf dude

Also I found the shirt in the picture at the top while thrifting and thought it was funny lmao
