Since we have a match tonight against Aston Villa and therefore no training, we decided to go on a walk in the centre of London. We talked and took some photos of each other. I decided to post a picture on insta.

After the trip, we went to the Arsenal ground. We eat dinner with the whole squad, it was really nice. Also really good team-building because we had to sit with teammates you don't talk to that often. So i sat with Laura, Katie and Manuela. Leah sat on the other side of the table, but I felt her eyes burning in my face.

Kim was ruled out because of an injury, so Katie was pronouced as skipper for this game. She deserves it and everyone congratulated her.
The match started, the ball possession was unequally divided in our favour. Jordan passed a ball to Frida who took a strike and scored an amazing goal. 1-0. In the 64th minute I ran down the flank and crossed the ball into the box where Stina stood. She headed the ball and got it into the net. 2-0.
As Katie was substituted in the 71th minute, Leah became captain. I was so proud of her and walked towards her and said something in her ear.
"Le, I'm so proud to call you my Leah. Go make your family proud." "I will, my Eef."
Leah coached everyone really well for the remaining 20 minutes. In the 93th minute we got one last corner. I took it, and Leah headed the last ball contact of the match in. She did it, my Leah scored as captain.
"YESS LEEEE. WHAT A GOAL" I ran towards her, I was so proud of my girl. "I couldn't have scored if you didn't place that ball so perfect on my head you silly girl." Leah said, knowing she made her family proud.
After the goal, the final whistle blew immediately so the goal was the last ball contact. That made it extra special. Jonas came up ans talked to Leah first.
"Wow Leah what a game, defenitely one of our own! Your a good captain for someone who is still so young!" "Thanks Jonas, that means a lot to me. And I will always be one of Arsenal's own." She said searching for her family. "Le, your family is there" I said while pointing at them. "Oh thanks Eef, if you don't mind, can I go over?" Leah asked to Jonas. "Of course Leah, go!" Jonas said. "Also well played to you Eef, good assist." "Thank you Jonas, I always try my best, and I alwayd will." I said proudly to Jonas. "I know, go over to Leah, she is calling for you." Jonas said. "Okay, thanks for everything already boss" I said to end the conversation.
I go over to Leah and her family because she was indeed calling me over. I place my hand on Leah's shoulder and pull her closer to me and since all the fans were out of the stadium I kissed her on the cheek.
"Really well played Evelien. Leah told me a thousand times already how perfect your corner was in the last minute." Amanda said which makes Leah giggle. "Is this true Le? Are you making your mom go crazy again?" I ask her "Well, maybe. Would you be mad if I did?" She asks knowing her guilt. "Yes I do Leah Catherine Williamson! We will speak tonight and your sleeping on the couch!" I say with a angry voice but they all just laugh at my poor acting skills because I had a smile on my face throughout the whole sentence. "Okay, we will see about that. Well mom, dad, Jacob I have to go in. I will talk to you all later!" Leah says. "Alright sweetheart, talk to you guys soon!" Amanda says "Bye Leah and Eef" Jacob and David say after each other. "Bye guys." I say.
We walk off and go to the changing room. Everyone gathers there for Jonas his speech, his speeches are honestly the funniest. Most of the time they are just one sentence, something like: "Bye girls, see you tomorrow at training.". But if you aren't attending his speech, he gets angry and gives you extra gym excercises. Everyone hates the gym, except me. I love it, I love to put my earphones in and push myself to the absolute limit. Leah doesn't understand it at all, she hates it and wants to leave before she begins.
I go to my apartment and Leah goes to her house. This will be the first time in quite a while that we don't sleep together. It is good though, she will go to England camp alone. I hope to be invited for the Dutch squad some day, so I'll be gone then as well. Or even in the worst possible case one of us will make a transfer to another country. To another club in England wouldn't be too bad, because we can live in the middle if we want, but I still wouldn't like it.
I cannot sleep. This is the first time in weeks again. I normally have it every month for 2 or 3 days. Those days are killing me, but it doesn't have a cause. But last month I didn't have it, why can't I sleep this month while last month I didn't have problems with it. I will have to tell Leah about it, but I don't know how. She will get worried, and she already worries about so much. About me, her family, what the fans think about her and us. I'm scared it will get too much for her. But if I don't tell her she will probably be mad at me for not telling her this, I mean it's personal and important for a girlfriend to know. Jonas also needs to know, but what if he doesn't allow me to play, or he rules me out of training during that days. I'll face the problems later, I will now clean my house a bit because whatever I do. I will not be able to sleep for this night and possibly 1 or 2 nights after.
