CHAPTER ELEVEN

HOME

"I'm so happy I can finally go home," you say to your brother.

"I'm glad you recovered. It was a scary time when I heard that you got into an accident."

Taehyung carries your bags to the lobby of the hospital. Namjoon is waiting there, talking to your parents.

You walk slowly, but steadily towards your family. Your parents hug you immediately, holding you tight.

You also give Namjoon a big hug. "Thank you for everything, Joon. You're a great doctor."

"That's my job! I'll miss our little chats," he smiles. "But we can still chat through text."

"Of course. Where's Jin?"

Namjoon looks around the lobby. "I expected him to be here... Maybe he was needed in a surgery?"

Your smile falls. "Right. I could have thought about that. I should go."

"Cloe!" Jin runs through the lobby with a bouquet of red roses. A huge smile spreads across your face.

"You came!"

"Of course I did! I can't let you leave without  these," he hands you the red roses. "For you."

You read the little card connected to it.

We can finally go on that date. Tonight at 8?

"Tonight at 8 sounds good, Jin. Thank you for the roses."

Your mom nudges you with her elbow. "Are you going on a date with the handsome doctor?" She ask, already sticking her nose into your business.

"I'm dating him actually, Mom."

"Even better! You have good taste, I raised you well," you mom starts shaking Jin's hand.

You mouth 'I'm sorry' to Jin, but he can only laugh about it.

"You and Jin, hm? How long are you official now?" Taehyung asks while helping you unpack your bags in your bedroom.

"A couple of weeks?"

Dumpling jumps onto your bed. Your cat has gained weight, but that's what you get when you leave anything at your mom's place.
