Arc 1 Chapter 9: Serenity, Princess

'I won't make the same mistake again! I can't let that happen, not again! This time I will protect you, Usako.' Mamoru thought as he jumped up the metal beams of the tower until he was in front of Usagi ready to take the hit for her. The fear and terror on her face was a horrific sight to see, because she was watching her love interest sacrifice himself for her. Kunzite unleashed his attack and it hit Mamoru, causing his top hat and mask to come off of his face, and for him to fall backwards.

He landed in Usagi's lap, and his mind wandered into a fog but he could still hear things but they where limited. "Tuxedo Mask," A voice said trying to reach out to him, "Tuxedo Mask, Open your eyes please!" The voice pleaded again, and he recognized that voice, he opened his eyes in his mind space. He saw a glimpse of someone from his dreams, "Someone calls out to me in my dreams, long golden hair; that shimmers like moonlight. Blue eyes that shine like the sun glistening off of the ocean." He said as he described the figure he was seeing, "Is that you Sailor Moon?" He asked, then the figure changed to Usagi who was begging him to wake up. "Why are you sad? A face such as yours should never be sad, why are you crying?" He asked then he got a shock of a memory from a past life, all of them were coming back to him now.

"Wait, something like this has happened before." Then he got the vision in his head of what happened back then. "Endymion! Please don't leave me Endymion! Endymion my love, please open your eyes! ENDYMION!" The voice sounded like Usagi, but it was Princess Serenity who was crying those tears. It also clicked in his head that Usagi was the reincarnation of Princess Serenity, and finally after such a long time he knew who he was. "Endymion, that's my name." He said and he was shocked yet happy to know his true identity, "I was reborn here on Earth as Mamoru Chiba." He said before his body moved on its own.

Mamoru moved his hands towards Usagi's face that was drenched in tears, his fingertips touched her cheeks before he softly spoke. "I've found you Serenity, my love." He said weakly before his hands fell to his sides again and he passed out. This caused Usagi to cry more, it also caused something within her to snap, the other girls watched the scene unfold with horror. This entire thing was terrifying, yet a gem was about to reveal herself in this tragic battle.

As Usagi cried her crescent tiara shattered and a golden glow was released, the mothers smiled knowing what was happening. "What is that bright light?" Makoto asked as she struggled to keep her barrier up and cover her eyes at the same time. "Mina, do you know what's going on?" Rei asked, but the dark blond didn't answer. She did see that the fake crescent moon mark on her forehead disappeared and was replaced with the heart mark of Venus, and like the others her tiara showed up and replaced the mark. Mina was now officially Sailor Venus and not a decoy, Minako saw the real crescent moon mark appear on Usagi's forehead. 'It's happening, finally.' She thought then they saw the golden glow surrounding Usagi as she cried. Her past memories were flooding back to her, and something was happening to the blond's body. "What's happening to Sailor Moon?" Rei asked, Ami activated her visors and got a better look at things.

"It looks like her body is changing," Ami stated, everyone then watched as Usagi's sailor uniform started glowing along with the accessories in her hair, then they saw a white dress replace her sailor uniform and then new accessories appeared in her hair, a gold bracelet was now on her right wrist, and a pair of gold dangle crescent moon earrings where now in her ears. In the command center both Artemis and Luna were shocked that the princess was Usagi the entire time. 'So Selena wasn't lying, meaning that she really was Queen Serenity.' Luna thought before a small smile appeared on her face. "Wait, so Usagi, was the princess the entire time?" Artemis asked Luna, "Apparently so," She responded,

Back with the girls, "Is that Usagi?" Ami asked in shock, Mina shook her head. "No, that's Princess Serenity." As the blond said this the now revealed princess opened her eyes. This sudden transformation shocked any plans that the Dark Kingdom had. Beryl was watching everything unfold, "So that princess has decided to show herself, well let's see if the crystal's secret location is revealed as well." The redheaded queen said as she continued to watch everything that was going on.
