Wednesday's newest vision has led us to just about no where. Neither Tyler nor his father were any help to our investigation like always. Wednesday drew a picture from her vision, a gate of some sort. But we had no luck figuring out where it was, leading me to one last resort.
"I need your help. Dont gloat, Im only talking to you this last time." I say walking in and handing him her drawing
"What, do you want some drawing lessons? Your line work's a little shaky." Xavier says observing it, "Wednesday saw it in a vision. Do you recognize it?" I ask. He points to his wall, where a similar picture was resting. "When did you draw this?" I ask looking at it, "Couple days ago. I started having those dreams again, like before." He explains "Was the monster in them?" I ask failing to stop myself from asking him more question.
"No, but I could feel it in the shadows. You know, kind of lurking in my mind." he answered. "You know where this is?" I question.
"Yeah. It's the old Gates mansion. I pass it when I go running. Why?" he says with a questioning look. " Its our only lead, thank you for the information" I reply and turn around to the door.
"You're gonna go there aren't you?" he asks, I turn around to look at him again. "Possibly" I answer, "Yea because your outings in the woods are always a good idea" he says and I can already tell he was rolling his eyes.
I stand in the yard as I watch Wednesday dial the phone, "Hello. I've reconsidered your offer." She says, "The non-birthday dinner. Pick me up outside the Nevermore gates at 8:00. Cut your lights." she replies and hangs the phone up. We head up to our room for our final loose end.
"I've been thinking about my less-than-enthusiastic response to your surprise soirée. And I must admit, I regret not showing my gratitude towards you more appropriately." Wednesday announces. "You really mean it?" Enid answers with a smile.
"If only there were a way for us to get off campus and have a little birthday redo. Just three best friends. Too bad the school is on lockdown. Would you look at that full moon..." Wednesday suggests, "Oh, how about I say I'm about to wolf out and get a pass to the lupin cages? And say you guys volunteered to lock me in." Enid replies happily, I try to hold in a smirk as our plan perfectly falls in place. Poor Enid, so naive, perfectly the same as thing
"My deviousness has finally rubbed off on you." Wednesday replies, "Thing? You know what to do, right?" I say, as we get ready for the next step in our investigation.
We walk out of the school gates, and to Tyler's parked car. We open the car doors as Enid and I sit in the back, "Wait, he's our Uber driver?" Enid asks. "Uber driver? I thought we were going on a date." Tyler questions, looking back at us. "I thought this was a girls' night out." Enid asks. At least I had no explaining to do.
"There's been a change of plans." Wednesday replies.
"What's up with the weird matching hoodie scarf things?"
"Don't ask. Just drive."
We have been driving for a few minutes when we pulled up to the house. "Seriously, you wanna go in there? This place is creepy AF" Enid says, as we got closer to mansion. "Okay. This isn't what I signed on for." Tyler says as Enid agrees looking over to me. I just roll my shoulders up in response. "I didn't want to celebrate my birthday by going to dinner or a surprise party. I want to do this. Wednesday replies observing the house. "Then you shoulda just said so. You didn't have to trick us." Tyler responds as Wednesday and I open the doors and get out
"If you want to go, you can. We're going to go check out the garage." Wednesday replies as we walk to the gate and open it
Wednesday is rattling the doorknob on the garage door, it would not budge. "Let me try." Tyler says shaking the door, neither has luck. Enid tries one last time and quickly gets it open, "Werewolf thing."
We walk into the garage looking around when we see a blue Cadillac, the one that hit the mayor. "Okay. This just took a dark turn. We need to call Tyler's dad right freaking now." Enid says worriedly, "Why? So he can take me back to Nevermore and get me expelled? It's not gonna happen." Wednesday says as she continues through the house. As we make our way through the hallway, we come across a family portrait of the gates.
We made our way to another room, that seems like a library. Wednesday flashes her light across it looking for any clues, when she notices something. She pushes a secret button and a section of the library slides, revealing a secret shrine. "Who doesn't have a spooky built-in altar in their family library?" Enid says shakily.
"Ours is in the living room. More seating for year-long Dia de los Muertos." Wednesday says, walking into the shrine. On the walls in red writing, "Blood will rise, When I rise". I walk in, amd pinch my fingers on the candles, "They're still warm." I say, looking over to Wednesday.
"Tyler, you check the rest of the ground floor. Friday will check upstairs separately fromEnid and I." Wednesday orders firmly, "We will?" Enid says nervously. Wednesday and I walk out of the room as the rest follows.
"All right, you go left, we will go right." Wednesday says, "You seriously want to split up? In here?" Enid complains, I roll my eyes as I walk down the hallway. I Shine my light forwards as I walk, the first room I walk past on my left. It looked like a bedroom, nothing important and I kept walking. I walked into the next room, this time it was a perfectly kept room. "The bed's made. No dust or cobwebs" I spoke to myself
I walk over to the bedside, touching flowers. New flowers. "LG?" I say walk over to a music box. Laurel Gates. "Looks like somebody moved back into their old room, It's not possible. She died 25 years ago, drowned overseas." I spoke to myself once more, I called Wednesday and Enid over. As Wednesday observed the music box, a loud shatter rose from somewhere in the house.
"Let's go" Wednesday says grabbing the music box, "This is officially the worst girls' night out ever!" Enid says as we walk out of the room. We walk down the hall, when we hear Tyler scream, "Guys! Get out! It's here!". We all panic as the monster is making its way up the stairs, "The dumbwaiter. Go!" Wednesday yells as we all climb in the small space.
Wednesday quickly starts tying her scarf around the handles. It slashes the door looking inside, when the rope holding us snaps, sending us falling down. Enid screams as we freefall down to the bottom. We harshly land, causing all of us to roll out. We cough as the dust rises from the room. Ew
Wednesday pulls on the light revealing a horror show, jars of body parts. The monster stomps above us, as it knocks down the basement door. Wednesday pushes Enid up out of the window, as I wait to do the same for Wednesday.
She tells me to climb out so I do assuming she is following me. Wednesday walks back into the room. "What are you doing?" I yell as the monster walks down the stairs. "These are the body parts from the monster's victims." she says as the monster gets closer, "Wednesday come on!" I yell. She hurriedly runs and jumps up into the window, shutting it behind her, "You okay?" she asks Enid standing up. "Since when do you care?" Enid answers walking away.
I look over to see Wednesday running back towards the house. "Wednesday, what the hell are you thinking?' I yell
"We have to go back for Tyler!" she yells back, I roll my eyes and run after her. "We really dont, he can save himself" I groaned.

Heyyy! I am so so sorry for not posting quicker I have been dealing with a lot atm and I was in and out of hospital yesterday so I couldnt make time to update. I will try my best to keep updating but yeah!
