"Well done to our winners, Eleena Delà Cruz and Azia Mendoza for representing our school and the £10k for our art department." The hall erupted in cheers and claps as we bowed before them.
"Any words?" Mrs Griffths passed me the mic,
"I just wanted to say thank you everyone for the support the past few months, it's been one hell of a journey but it surely paid off."
"THAT'S MY BEST FRIEND!" Acacia screamed from the crowd, a few laughs were shared amongst them.

"And thank you to the beautiful woman beside me, Azia, my girlfriend. She's amazing man, I couldn't have done it without her." Azia blushed tenderly, mouthing the words 'I love you.'

3 years has passed, a lot has happened. I moved in with Azia into a cute apartment in central London. Maria found someone to spend the rest of her life with. A few tears were shed, I must admit. I'm a few months away from graduating and becoming a GP doctor. Believe me the career switch was just as shocking as you think, although I still paint on the side, selling them for millions. Azia became a bestselling author who collaborates with me on some art pieces. I never thought that my life would turn out this way but I'm so grateful that it has.

I fidgeted with my tie waiting anxiously for the doors to open. Finally, the piano started playing. There she was, she walked in the building with such grace and elegance it almost gave me a heart attack. Who would've thought I'd marry my sworn academic rival, not I. Her beautiful flowing white gown mesmerised our guests, me especially. I reached out my hand to help her up the steps to the altar.
"You look breathtaking Eleena." I whispered,
"You look rather dashing yourself Azia." She returned.

"Do you Eleena, take Azia Nevera Mendoza to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Acacia asked, yes we had to get her to officiate the wedding,
"I do."
"And do you Azia, take Eleena Atasha Delà Cruz, as your lawfully wedded wife?" Cerelia pondered, yes we her too officiated this.
"I do."
"Then by the power vested in us, we know pronounce you wife and wife, you may now kiss the bride." They squealed in unison.

I spun Eleena around and dipped her, she held my neck for support,
"May I Mrs Mendoza?" I asked confidently,
"You may Mrs Mendoza." I kissed her passionately as the whole church clapped and cheered.

"And that's how me and your mum met." Azia concluded.
"That's so adorable mama." Carlos beamed,
"I want a love story like that!" Ria whined,
"Ah well, you both have the power to write your own love stories, doesn't have to be like me and your mum's, as long as you find someone that loves you as much as I love her." I blushed while leaning on the doorframe of the twin's bedroom.

"Alright time for bed kiddos!" I kissed them both goodnight before tucking them in.
"Same story as last night and the night before that?" I asked Azia as she sat down next to me on the couch.
"Of course, our story is one of a kind." She kissed my cheek tenderly,
"I love you Mrs Mendoza." I sighed gently,
"And I love you way more Mrs Mendoza."
