Her parents said their last goodbyes before latching the door. Abby had mixed emotions of sadness, loneliness and freedom. She was pulled out of her thoughts by her phone lighting up and vibrating on her desk. She wasted no time answering the phone when she saw who the caller id was.
"Hey stellina, how's my favorite girl settling in the frozen tundra of Minnesota?"
"Its not frozen yet James" Abby said setting her phone down and giving him a proper fit check. of her tank top and shorts.
"Hey hey hey, you better be safe especially because your favorite body guard isn't there to protect you" Jimmy said with a hint of jealously in his voice.
"Oh James, you know I know how to defend myself . You, Blake, Billy, Tony and Mike made sure of that before I left."
"Abby, I know but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna stop worrying when you're all alone 560 miles away from me."
"Jimmy I love you and you know if anything happens, you're the first one I'm gonna call."
Jimmy put his head down shaking it knowing she was right. She is perfectly equipped to handle herself, but that didn't mean he was gonna stop worrying about his best friend any time soon.
"Well do you want me to give you a tour?" Abby said breaking the momentary silence between them.
"Abs, you don't even have to ask." Jimmy replied with his million dollar smile on his Italian tanned face.
That smile always brings her back to her to first time she ever laid eyes on him and she hasn't been able to look away since.

It was the first day of kindergarten and Abby was already hanging out with her new bestfriends she met 10 minutes ago, Tasha and Jessie. They were discussing who was gonna be the cook in their restaurant game when a boy with a smile popped in to their conversation, asking if he could play too. The 3 girls said yes but not before asking his name.
"I'm James Garoppolo, or Jimmy if you want. My family just moved here." He said with a hint of an Italian accent.
"Well James, you can be the cook if you want" Abby replied while studying his very distinct dimples for a 6 year old.
The 4 of them hit it off instantly. Abby and Jimmy soon found out that Jimmy was her new next door neighbor, along with his 2 older and 1 younger brothers. The day went by so fast that when it was time to go home, they hugged as it would be the last time they saw each other. Jessie and Tasha went with their moms' while Abby and Jimmy waited for theirs. Abby was patiently waiting for her mom, staring at the door thinking about her first day while Jimmy couldn't take his eyes off of her. They might have only been 6 and only have known each other for 6 hours, but Jimmy knew he was gonna make this girl his wife one day so they could be forever together.
