It had been two weeks since Danny and Richard had run into Dash and so far they hadn't seen him again. Richard was sure that if he saw him again he'd punch him so it was a very good thing that he hadn't seen Dash again. Two months had passed since they'd started dating and now Richard had a tough decision to make.
Richard had to decide whether or not to introduce Wally to Danny, technically they had already met before but still. Wally had been asking about it for the last week or so, he still didn't want to make Danny uncomfortable but this was going to happen eventually. Richard was sure Wally was going to slip up around the other heroes if he didn't let him meet Danny.
He didn't not want the others to meet Danny but he'd rather not have all of them there at once and overwhelm him. Richard paced in his apartment for a bit before he picked up his phone and called Danny. After a few rings, Danny picked up, "Hey."
Richard smiled, "Hey, I wanted to ask you something."
"Okay, what is it?"
Richard started pacing again, "Well, um, Wally kind of wants to meet you, I know you've met him before but you didn't talk much. He's been bugging me about it for over a week, I don't want to make you uncomfortable so if you don't want to that's fine but I wanted to ask you."
He could hear Danny laugh just a little on his end, "That's fine, just give me a heads up beforehand."
Richard stopped in his tracks, "Is that a yes?"
"As long as he doesn't ask weird questions, yes."
"Thank you Danny, I know you probably don't want to do this."
"Just make it up to me later."
Richard smiled, "I will, I promise. I have to go but I'll talk to you later and let you know when and where to meet us."
"Okay, I have to get back to work anyway so I'll text you when I'm off work."
"Okay, text me when you have time to meet up and where."
"I will, I'll talk to you later."
"Bye Danny."
He hung up and waited for Danny to text him, he knew it was after he'd finished working at the hotel. He was probably getting ready to go to the bar, he hated that he had to work so hard but it wasn't like he could tell Danny what to do. 'I'm free tomorrow, we can go to the cafe we always go to.'
'I'll let him know, text me when you're off work?'
'Sure, as long as you don't lose your phone or something.'
Richard smiled, 'That happened once, I'll talk to you later, I love you.'
'I love you too.'
Richard smiled and texted Wally when and where to meet them, the next day Richard was waiting outside the cafe when Wally jogged over. "Hey man, your bartender isn't here yet?"
"He's on his way, should be here any minute. So before he gets here I will tell you not to ask a bunch of questions, don't scare him off, and if you upset him I will not be happy."
Wally put his hands up, "Chill dude, I want to meet him not make him hate me."
"I know, but you have a tendency to ask a lot of questions when you meet someone new that I'm dating. When you heard I was dating Barbara, you gave her the third degree as soon as you saw her."
"Because you're my best friend and I will make sure you're dating someone that won't take advantage of you."
Then they heard a new voice, "Who's taking advantage of someone?"
