Richard was nervous, really nervous, he couldn't remember the last time he was this nervous and he couldn't stop fidgeting. He was currently waiting for Danny and he got more anxious as time passed, he had no idea what he was doing. He was currently wondering if he should have brought a gift or something for Danny, he did want to make a good impression after all.

He checked the time, Danny wasn't late yet, Richard actually got there pretty early since he didn't want to keep Danny waiting. He mentally sighed, he had no idea what he was doing, he wanted Danny to like him but he was worried about messing up. Then someone spoke, "You seem pretty preoccupied."

Richard turned in the direction of the voice and saw Danny, Richard was at a loss for words when he saw him. Danny wasn't wearing anything fancy, just nice clothes you'd usually wear on a date, but Richard thought he looked amazing. After a second he realized he was staring and he looked away, "You, um, you look nice."

Danny blushed and he looked away, "Thanks, you don't look so bad yourself."

Richard felt himself blush a little and he smiled, then he remembered that he was supposed to take Danny on a date, not stand on the street. He cleared his throat a little before he spoke, "Do you want to go?"

Danny's mind went blank for a minute before he remembered what was going on, "Yeah, sure." Richard's smile widened and the two started walking down the street, they hadn't even been walking for two minutes before someone ran into Danny. The halfa almost fell but Richard caught him and ended up holding his hand while making sure Danny could stand.

Richard looked slightly concerned, "Are you okay?"

Danny blushed a little, "Yeah, I'm fine."

Richard let out a breath he didn't know he was holding before he realized something, "Your hand is cold." Danny felt his blood run cold when Richard said that, a normal person wouldn't be as cold as he usually was. Richard looked even more concerned, "Are you cold?"

It was a bit chilly outside, it was the beginning of fall so it was starting to get colder and he didn't want Danny to get cold. Danny shook his head, "I'm okay, I like the cold."

Richard nodded, he wasn't surprised that Danny liked the cold, for some reason it felt like he was the kind of person that liked winter. The two continued walking down the street and Richard didn't let go of Danny's hand and the halfa didn't mind. Both of them felt like it was natural, they might not technically be dating but being around each other felt right.

After another few minutes Richard stopped and Danny looked around, they were currently standing in front of a restaurant. It wasn't too fancy but Danny liked how it looked, they both walked in and the woman at the front smiled at them. "A table for two?"

Richard nodded and the waitress lead them to a table near the back of the restaurant, which Danny was glad about. He didn't like being around too many people, there weren't a ton of people in the restaurant but being farther away made him feel more comfortable. After they were shown to their table Richard actually pulled Danny's chair out for him, which Danny found kind of cute.

They both sat down and looked over the menu, both of them were trying to figure out what to say. After a minute Danny spoke, "So, uh, what happened with your friend?"

Richard almost laughed, it seemed like Danny was just as nervous as he was, but at least this could start a conversation. "After I brought him home his fiance, Artemis, was kind of annoyed that he was drunk, I told her we went to a few bars. I didn't tell her the strip club part though, I'm pretty sure she would have killed him if I did."

Danny laughed a little, "I don't think anyone would be happy about that."

Richard smiled, "But you work at a club."
