"...And here are you guys' schedules. I do hope you have a fun and productive time here at Miller Canes..."
The secretary had sent them to the principal for a "personal" greeting. He had been rumbling on for over 15 minutes now. Bow was used to people being extra nice to his face because of his father but that stopped a long time ago. He had almost forgotten what it felt like to be the son of a well known lawyer.
" Hurry to get to class now." Finally the rambling was over. The two brothers quickly gathered their belongings and rushed out of that place before Principal Maverick started another one of his speeches.
After each turning their separate ways, Bow found himself slowly striding down the hall to his first class. As he entered all eyes were on him. It was like a radioactive bomb. As soon as those beady pupils all stared daggers into his soul. His head was spinning; he couldn't do this.
And took off, back through the doors and into the hallway. Running straight back where he came from. Home. Or whatever you would call that place.

That's when she saw him. He was entering their class. He looked okay now. She finally got to look at him properly. The sunlight for the nearby window made his tanned skin glow, and his arms no longer clad in the black leather jacket but in an oversized, white T-shirt. His black cargo pants seemed to meet his black and white hightop converse at his ankles. It was all so perfect.
And then just as he lifted those forest green eyes, he stopped. It took him 5 seconds to turn around and get out the door. It was a new student and her job as the 4th year's president to help someone in need. In a matter of seconds she was out the door herself and running down the hall.
As she turned the corner she found him in front of the school's front doors. As she caught up to him she noticed his heavy breath but before she could reach out to him he took off through the doors.
They were now outside as she yelled at the top of her lungs.
" Umm.. Hey! You! What was your name again.. Oh! Um Bow"
Her voice. The way his name rolled off her lips, it did something to him. It made him stop.
"Bow. That's your name right. Were you looking for your class? I can help yo-"
"Stop following me." he mumbled
"What?" She tried jogging to catch up with his pace. By this time they were already out of the school gates. She grabbed his hand and suddenly as fast as lightning he turned around, his eyes filled with anger.
" I said...STOP FOLLOWING ME" he yelled annoyed that this girl made him feel so small. It was like she saw past his facade and had a peep into his soul.
"I'm s-o-sorry. I was just trying to help"
His gaze softened as he looked at her. Staring into those brown eyes that spoke paragraphs to him. It was her. Luna. The girl from this morning. Of course he was aware of that but seeing her so helpless and scared made him hurt inside. He did that.
" Oh... I'm um sorry. I didn't know it was you."
He lied.
" I uh... can't go back there. I needed some fresh air."
Her facial expression relaxed. " Oh... would you like to talk about it."
There it was again. She was the only person who had ever asked him about his feelings other than his therapist. He wasn't even upset, just embarrassed that she could read him so well.
