"So, what you got for us."
'Yeah go ahead play."
Bow had somehow found himself avoiding the garden this morning, when Milly, the rhythm guitar player and Joe, the bass player saw him. Now he was stuck here, "auditioning" for this Music Club. It didn't make sense how he got here. One second he was walking around the back field trying to find his shady tree, the next second he was being yanked by the sleeve into the auditorium. He decided to play, after their music teacher Mrs. Dan convinced- gaslit him into thinking he wanted to do this, a classical piece he had learnt recently 'Sonando"/"Dreaming". It made him feel safe, playing that is. He didn't have to constantly worry about what other people felt or saw, it was all up to him. When playing he was incharge.
The soft melody drifted through the halls and hypnotized its listeners. Soon there was a large crowd stationed at the door looking at him play. He didn't care though, mainly because he could barely see them but also because he was doing what he enjoyed best. He was making music.
When he was done he turned around to see everyone scatter back to their lockers and out of the doorway. All except one petite body whose touch haunted him last night.
" Hi there bowie." she said, sounding unsure.
" Oh hi, Luna '' he mumbled and with that turned back to the band. He didn't want to look at her, he just couldn't because he knew she would make him fall all over again. He was trying to forget the way she made him feel hoping that by ignoring her he would soon no longer be a slave to those big brown eyes that held hm captive.
But to his avail she walked in and stood behind the teacher, Milly and Joe and the rest of the band.
" Welp, I would be crazy if I didn't accept you into our Music Club. You're in Mr. Di Angelo."
" Yay, go Bow." Luna mouthed to him.
How could he avoid such an adorable creature? She was standing there in an oversized beige cargo pants and black crop top, with a silver chain, three rings, and a black converse tied together perfectly. She was stylish, cute and funny. Everything a guy could want. Although she talked a lot and had terrible eyesight it was what made him fall for her, along with that pretty face and those big brown eyes. Most of all was how humble she was, the girl was a work of art and she didn't know it.
How he longed to tell her that every day and night. To see those dimples and that award winning smile. He longed to touch her hair and draw circles on her dark soft skin. But it all was a dream too good to be true.
" Um, Bow... Can you hear me." Luna's voice brought him back to life.
" Uh.. yeah. What were you saying."
"Oh I was waiting for you in the garden but you never came.." She trailed off, making him feel bad." Anywayz, I saw a commotion here and decided to check it out and guess what I found you. Just the man I was looking for."
I can be your man. He thought but erased the thought from his brain. If he wasn't careful he would be on his hands and knees for this girl.
" Here." she said, shoving his essay in his face." I have to get to class now so see ya."
" You actually did it." He said to her as the two walked to the door.
" Yup anything for a friend in need." There it was again. Friend. He hated that word so bad. He wanted to hold her and shake that word out of her system. He would not settle for being just friends. Who was he kidding? He couldn't do anything even if he tried. But a man can dream.
" We're having a meeting at 3:30 today. You're still on probation so make sure your there." Mrs. Dan said from across the room.
" Yes, miss." He answered. After saying his goodbyes to his members and left with Luna.
