"Happy birthday Junie !" We all finished singing.
She blew the candles on her cake followed by us clapping hands.
"Now who wants cake ?" Teyana shouted as all the kids quickly surrounded us.I was helping Teyana giving plate to everyone. A silhouette form came up in front of me.
"Hey." I looked up to see Chris.
"thanks." He said after I gave him a plate. I smiled back at him.
Once again I slightly nodded, still not entirely sure how to navigate a casual conversation with him. We did talked right after I left the therapy session I explained to him that setting me up on that session rubbed me the wrong way, but I did apologize about leaving that way.
"It's...I'm happy to see you." He said
He started is tour explaining why he didn't answer my phone call. When he actually called back I remember that he couldn't come to me at the moment and that it was better tell him in person anyways than on the phone.
