a couple years later...

*Beomgyu's POV (First person)*

I slowly opened my eyes and smiled at Soobin, who was still sleeping. After graduation, me and Soobin decided to move in together. I had to admit, it was an awesome idea.

I watched him for a couple minutes before Soobin's eyes slowly opened.

"Good morning, love." I smiled, gently stroking his cheek.

"Good morning." Soobin smiled. I snuggled closer to him again.

After a couple minutes, Soobin slowly adjusted to sit up.

"As much as I would love to stay in bed with you," He began, "We have to meet the others for breakfast."

"Oh, right." I said, also sitting up and giving Soobin a quick kiss. "Let's get ready, then."

"Hey!" Yeonjun greeted with a smile as me and Soobin joined them at the table.

"Hi, Yeonjun. Hi everyone, else." I smiled at Kai, Taehyun, and Hwa Young.

"Woooow." Kai said. "We're known as 'everyone else'?"

I shrugged. Kai frowned and said jokingly, "I see how it is."

"I still like you." I said as Kai crossed his arms.

"Not as much as Yeonjun." Kai squinted his eyes at me. Yeonjun wrapped an arm around Kai's shoulders.

"Not everyone can be as lucky as me." He joked. Kai sighed dramatically.

"I guess that's true. You do have an awesome boyfriend."

I held back a laugh as Yeonjun nodded slowly and then realization hit him. 

"Wait a second...did you just compliment yourself?"

Kai grinned. "Maybe."

Soobin chuckled slighty and I shook my head with a smile. Some things never change.

*That night*

Soobin flopped on his stomach beside me on the bed and smiled.

"I want to take you somewhere."

I set my phone down and propped my chin on my hands, smiling. "Oh really? Where, may I ask?"

"It's a surprise." Soobin said, kissing my cheek.

"Ah, I should have known by now." I said.

"That's right." Soobin agreed. "Soooo, will you let me take you there or not?"

I smiled. "Of course."

I walked hand in hand with Soobin as he led me somewhere.

"Why don't you ever tell me where we are going?" I asked, smiling slightly.

"I like surprising you." Soobin said simply.

"One of these days I'll have to surprise you." I noted. Soobin grinned.

"You can try."

I shook my head with a smile as we walked to a very familiar park. I smiled brightly.

"This is a very nice surprise." I stated as Soobin led me on the path.

"I knew you would like it." Soobin told me. We walked until we reached the lake. Memories of the last time we were here came back to me.

"Beomgyu..." Soobin began and I looked at him. "There's also a reason behind why I brought you here..."

"What is it?" I asked.

Soobin stood in front of me and held my hands.

"Over these last couple of years... I realized that I don't want you to be my boyfriend, anymore."

I stared blankly at him, but he continued, and the next words made me relax.

"My love for you has only gotten stronger, and I plan to keep every single promise to you and love you until I die."

I nodded. "So do I." And then I realized something. "Soobin..."

Soobin let go of my hands and pulled out a small box. Dropping on one knee, he looked up at me and slowly opened it.

"Beomgyu... will you make me the happiest man alive... and marry me?"

I gasped slightly, but I slowly nodded, my eyes welling up.

"Yes. Yes, I will marry you."

Soobin stood and slid the ring on my finger with my promise ring. I hugged Soobin tightly.

"I love you."

 "I love you too." Soobin pulled me closer and kissed me.

And this, this is my happily ever after, with the man I love.
