*Beomgyu's POV (first person)*
I watched Soobin nervously as I explained the last bit of my memory.
"I'm so sorry." I finished quickly.
Soobin looked at me and smiled softly. "It's okay, don't worry. I'm not mad."
"You aren't?" I blew out a sigh of relief when he shook his head.
"One second." I said with a sigh as I got a message alert.
Seo: Hey
Beomgyu: hi, Seo
*Seen*
Seo: is this a bad time?
I glanced at Soobin who was watching me silently.
Beomgyu: More or less
*Seen*
Seo: Well then, I'll let you go
Beomgyu: Alright. Bye
*Seen*
Seo: Bye
I put my phone in my pocket.
"Sorry, that was Yun-Seo."
"Oh." Soobin said with a slow nod.
"So... you really arent mad? At all?" I asked. I had to make sure.
"Nope. It's not like it was even on purpose either." Soobin told me. I nodded.
"Yeah."
*Yeonjun's POV (First person)*
I watched Kai silently as he messaged Sung-Jin, who had managed to take Kai's attention away from me yet again.
"I'll be back in a minute." I said with a sigh as I stood up. Kai looked up at me and smiled.
"Alright."
I walked out the door and into my room, where to my dismay, another letter was waiting for me. I opened it with a sigh.
Dear Yeonjun,
Meet me at the old house a couple blocks down. Don't be a coward now, Yeonjun. This will all go away soon. Just cooperate. And remember I can take away everyone you love. The clocks ticking.
xoxo,
Dae-Jung
"So, this is why you seemed stressed yesterday?" Soobin's voice asked, startling me. I tried stuffing the note out of sight, but it was too late.
"Yeonjun, what's happening?" Soobin asked with concern. I sighed and handed him the note before taking the other one out from under the mattress and handing him that one too.
"I'm coming with you." Soobin decided as he finished reading them. I automatically shook my head, but he pushed on.
"He knows about me and Beomgyu, Yeonjun. I want to talk to him."
I sighed and thought about it. "Fine."
"Great. First things first, we need a better place to stash these letters. And lucky for you, I know just the place."
The second day quickly turned into the third.
And then the fourth.
And finally it was the day I had to meet Dae-Jung.
The time was 11:30.
I opened the door quietly as I heard a soft knock.
"Ready?" I whispered to Soobin, who nodded.
"Let's get this over with."
Together, we sneaked out the window, shutting it closed behind us.
"It's not to late to turn back." I noted as we walked down the lonely streets. Soobin shook his head.
"If anything goes down, you'll need my help."
I sighed. The man had a point.
"But if you get hurt, it's my fault, and Beomgyu will be mad."
"Don't worry," Soobin said, casting me a sideways glance, "I'll make it clear that you aren't to blame if something happens."
"Alright..." I said uncertainly.
After some walking, we reached the house Dae-Jung told us to meet at.
"Damn, this place gives me the creeps." I whispered, looking at the old house which looked ready to fall down. It was also covered in vines and the silence seemed ominous.
"I hear that." Soobin mumbled.
"Let's get this over with." I said, walking down the path and pushing open the door, which opened with an ominous creeeeeeeeaaaaaak!
I saw a note on the first stair and picked it up.
Second floor, third door on your right.
I showed the note to Soobin and he nodded. Together we walked up the stairs. I'm not the type to get scared easily, but I could feel my heart beating twice it's normal rate. I hated Dae-Jung with everything in me, but everlasting pain has been carried with me ever since he hurt me. I almost suggested going back, but then I pictured Kai's sweet face in my mind, and remembered Dae-Jung telling me he could make him hate me.
"You ready for this?" Soobin whispered as we stopped outside the door. I swallowed and nodded.
I pushed open the door and walked in with Soobin following. But the next thing I knew, I heard Soobin grunt in pain and he fell beside me, unconscious.
I turned on the spot. "What the hell-"
Those were the only words I managed to get out before I got hit on the head and the world turned black around me.
*Beomgyu's POV (first person)*
*the next morning at 12:00*
"Kai? What's wrong?" I asked curiously as I walked into the living room where Taehyun and Soobin's mom were comforting a sobbing Kai. I had went out before anyone had woken up to take a walk.
"It-it's Yeonjun and S-soobin," Kai choked out. "They're missing."
(Guys, I promise everything I do, I do it with a reason 😭 just go with me on this one... I swear it all has its purpose at the end. I guarantee by the end of this book, I'll have the whole story all wrapped in a nice bow for you guys.
