the group watched as raven sat mumbling to herself, "will this work?" wednesday quietly asked.

enid shrugged, "i have no idea."

xavier nodded, "i've seen her do it one other time."

ajax watched raven intensely, "how will we know if it worked though?"

raven opened her eyes, "shut up i need silence."

the group mumbled sorry as raven went back to attempting to communicate with her dad. "well well if it isn't my daughter." zalroth spoke as raven stood up stepping out of the circle the rest of the group coming to her side.

"father." raven crossed her arms.

"you clearly need something if you have summoned me" zalroth grimaced.

raven looked at her friends, "the prophecy it's coming true."

zalroth nodded, "i can see that."

"my soul self is gone though father."

"it isn't gone my little demon. you still very much have your powers. someone has just taken your soul self."

"what do i do?"

"you will need to find it"

"how?"

"raven open your mind. you can still feel your soul self pulling you towards it. follow the pull."

"father that's bullshit advice."

"it's all i have."

"it cannot be all you have. clearly you know more but you won't tell me like you always-"

"raven!" zalroth voice boomed as he yelled making everyone but raven and wednesday step back. raven just glared at her father.

"i have a question" wednesday spoke up. "there is this creature, who has been killing people and i was wondering if you knew anything about it."

"i do not know the creature you speak of. now i must go." zalroth cut the connection. the room fell silent. no one dared to step closer to raven, ajax enid and xavier knew her father was a touchy subject.

"xavier you should say something." ajax whispered as they watched her pick up and put away the stuff they had just used to summon zalroth.

xavier looked between his friends, "i would rather not get killed."

"you are her boyfriend!" enid whispered.

"wow thanks for the reminder." xavier rolled his eyes. he wanted to say something but he knew she did not want to talk about it. 

wednesday rolled her eyes, "raven-"

"don't, please. i don't want to talk about what happened." raven cut her off. enid did the one thing she knew to do when someone was upset, she hugged raven. raven automatically hugged back and just held her friend as tight as she could. enid could tell all the emotions her friend had when she hugged her back.

it was ravens birthday today. she always liked to keep things small. with her friends. she had the conversation with wednesday about holding the small party inside her room. it was just going to be ajax, enid, xavier, wednesday and of course raven. they had gotten permission from ms thornhill to have the boys there since it was for the girls birthday and she had been through enough lately. 

"you holding a seance without me?" raven joked as enid and her walked into the room. no one had spoken a word to raven about what happened with her dad since it had happened. 

"whos goody?" enid asked. 

"my ancestor." wednesday replied. 

about an hour later, ajax and xavier had arrived. "happy birthday, stupid." ajax hugged his friend. the two had been best friends since they were little. 

"thanks jax." raven smiled. she somewhat hated her birthday so it was nice that it was only her friends. 

"enid what are you doing?" ajax laughed as enid was just laying in the middle of the floor and walked over to her.  

raven smiled at xavier before he leaned down and kissed her, "happy birthday, love." raven smiled going on her tiptoes and wrapping her arms around his neck giving him a hug but in the process she slightly fell which caused the taller boy to laugh.

it was now later in the night and xavier and raven sat on the couch she had on her side of the room. he was playing with her fingers as she sat with her head off the couch when all of a sudden something was slide under the door. ajax had left since it was late and he was tired but enid was still in the dorm. 

"what is it?" raven asked as wednesday and enid went over to it. 

"a note." wednesday says. "it says something about a key in crackstones crypt. enid and i will go check it out."

"we will?" enids eyes went wide. 

"yes, come on." wednesday quickly said. enid let out a small whimper.

i changed it to ravens birthday instead of wednesdays also this was kinda just a filler 

and i am once again avoiding doing my finals hehe
