it was now later that night when raven met up with xavier. he was painting the mural she saw him working on earlier in the day.

"jesus!" he slightly jumped when he turned slightly to see the girl he was in love with.

raven laughed, "sorry."

"you should not sneak up on someone like that." xavier said when he felt his heart finally calm down after she had scared him.

raven raised an eyebrow, "what are you gonna do? throw paint at me?"

"yeah." he pulled the girl into a hug. raven sighed with content at the slight affection from her friend. "i finished. what do you think?" raven turned around in the boys arms so she could see the painting he had finished. it was a raven.

"i like it." she smiled before turning around and hugging him again. they could hear a cello being played in the background.

"i wonder who is playing." xavier thought out loud before he quickly picked up the paint can he had with him.

"it's wednesday." raven said as they headed back towards the dorms. on the way back to her dorm the two talked about everything but the prophecy because xavier knew that it was constantly on the girls mind. "thanks for walking me back."

"yeah, of course." xavier smiled as raven turned to open the door. "rae, wait."

she turned around, "yeah?"

"do you maybe want to go to the harvest festival together?" xavier asked.

"are you asking me on a date?" she asked.

"uh, yeah." xavier rubbed the back of his neck nervously unsure of what the blue haired girl would say.

"i would love too." she smiled. xavier turned around and he couldn't help the smile on his face as he left.

reaching the room, she noticed that wednesday was on the balcony, "how did you lug that thing out here?" raven asked when she stepped outside.

wednesday could notice something was bothering her roommate and not that she cared but she still asked, "are you alright?"

raven leaned against the railing as wednesday walked over next to her, "no but i should be because the boy i like just asked me on a date anyway i'm sure you heard by now but there is this prophecy that involves me."

wednesday nodded, "yes the one about you either being evil and destroying the world or being good and saving the world."

"yeah that one. i just feel like it is getting closer and closer and there is nothing i can do about it." raven couldn't help the few tears come out of her eyes.

"raven, i have not known you for long but you are one of the only people i can tolerate and i believe you are somewhat of a good person." wednesday states.

"thanks, wednesday. its just, my dad he is not a good person. by the time he was my age he was a king in the demon realm. he tried to take over earth years ago which is how i got this lovely thing." raven taped the gem on her forehead. "after i banished him. i just can't help but feel like i will become him. sorry i know thats alot of information."

"its fine." wednesday said. "i don't want to be my parents either."

"there is a part of the prophecy, weems has only shared with me." raven whispered.

"what is it?" wednesday was curious.

"it states that the daughter of zalroth if she is to become good, she will get attacked and lose her powers to some type of monster and she will get them back in time." raven whispered. "i want to be good but i don't know who i am without my powers."

the harvest festival was that weekend. attendance was mandatory. beforehand wednesday had told raven her plan to meet up tyler and get a ride to the train station. tyler had only been a name she had heard because of what had happened between him and xavier.

"if this is successful, it may be the last time we see each other." raven said. the two had bonded somewhat the past few days.

"stay unemotional." wednesday stated which made raven laugh.

"good luck and safe travels." enid said going in to hug wednesday. "still not a hugger. got it."

raven and wednesday waiting until enid walked away so they could have a quick roommate moment. raven handed her a piece of paper.

"its my number, uh, incase you decide to become a slave to technology or use a pay phone and need anything or just want to talk." raven smiled.

"reduce your expectations, if i need anything i will write you a letter."

"okay, wednesday. be safe."

"you too ." wednesday said as raven turned to walk away and go find xavier. "oh wait raven!" the girl stopped turning around. "remember, you are not your dad."

raven smiled knowing that was hard for wednesday to say. after a few minutes raven finally ran into (literally ran into) xavier, "you look upset." she said.

"i just saw wednesday."

"makes sense she tends to take the happiness out of people." raven jokes.

"so do you." xavier threw his arm over the girls shoulder as she slapped him lightly. enid watched her friend from afar and couldn't help but smile at her. to enid, raven always seemed happiest when she was with xavier.

"you kind of suck at this." raven stated as xavier was currently trying to play the balloon popping game.

"you are so supportive." he rolled his eyes as he finally won the girl a panda bear. she smiled as he passed it to her.

"thank you." she kissed his cheek which caused him to blush. as the two watched the fireworks, raven leaned into xavier and for once she wasn't think about the prophecy but just about xavier. he was the only thing on her mind but she had no idea that wednesday was witnessing rowan get killed by the mysterious monster that now existed in jericho.
