"I feel it. It's calling to me."
"What is?" Juli asked.
"It's. . . It's a power. A force. I see it!"
He shot into the air, Juli following shortly after.
Landing at the top of the plateau, they walked up to a stone pedestal that had a gorgeous crystal on it.
Etched into each side was a cat.
However, the surface angled upward had a wing etched on it.

"So. Nicolas said for you to eat it?" Juli asked.
"Right. It's too dangerous to exist anymore and must be destroyed.
He said that only a Lynark digestive system can break it down, but that it would feel like magma.
That said, eating it makes the most sense."
William picked it up and looked at it closer.
"So tiny, yet it could power the entire Earth's electrical grids."
He popped it into his mouth and swallowed it.
"Well. Now that it's done, let's go baERCK!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!"
Raw energy swirled around him briefly before being contained again.
The snow around his paws had evaporated and the rock where he stood was glowing red hot.
Even the pedestal melted.
"OW! He said that it would be excruciating to handle, but OOOW!" William yelled.
Juli wanted so badly to comfort him, but Níqö made it quite clear.
"Do not touch him until the heat subsides or you'll both experience even worse pain.
When two Lynark try to share any pain, it's multiplied by an order of magnitude for each."
William suddenly grew twenty four inches, became bulkier and his wings grew to a 22 foot span.
His tail was ten feet six inches long.
He shook and folded his wings.
"Man! Glad that's. . . Juli! Did you shrink?"
"No. You grew bigger."
"Oh. Okay. Let's go." He said, holding his hand toward her.
They appeared in the lobby of the sky port building.
Suddenly, all conversation stopped and all eyes were on William.
"What?" He asked.
A female who was nearby started growling as she glared at Juli.
Her wings began to vibrate, creating a hum and she charged, claws extended.
William appeared between them on all fours. Back arched, wings vertical and teeth bared.
