A/N: This is my first ever story I published and TBH I can't really believe I had the confidence to do it. I hope you enjoy some of the stupid ideas I had in my head.

Freddy always loved the idea of flying.

Sometimes he would look outside and watch the birds fly over. Some dove down to hunt while others did crazy looking stunts in the air. Those were only the wild birds, trained birds were a whole different breed.

So Freddy kept his head in the clouds even with his feet on the ground, and soon everyone started to look up. Who wouldn't? Everything that looked like a bird or a plane could be Superman, and who didn't want to see a glimpse of that guy.

Freddy had flown once, in an airplane that is, and he thought he would never get closer to the sky in his life. While not until he got a pilot license, but he didn't think that he would be cut out for that.

Before he had an obsession with superhero's he had a short one with airplanes, which started after that flight. He could still tell you the difference between a plane that flies international and a plane that flies continental.

But now he didn't need to board a plane to have some sense of flight. He has become one of the few on this earth to have the ability to fly.

Freddy still couldn't believe it, but he could actually take off to the skies, and it was great. So great that the ability to walk without crutches he gained as well felt like an afterthought, and even that was an miracle in its own right.

The skies of Philadelphia quickly became his domain. Being the only one up there with all the others walking on the ground like little ants. Well, he still had to share it with his brothers and sisters though...

and the planes...

and all the other transportation devices capable of flight...

and drones...

and the birds...

and the other flying superhero's...

Yea he wasn't really the only one up there, but it certainly felt like it.

Freddy was on his weekly patrol, which usually consisted of doing stunts in the air while looking around for some stuff to do, and today was no different.

He did looping's, barrel rolls and maybe took a kid for a small ride after he missed the bus. Sadly no crime, but he wouldn't say that out loud.

He took off high into the sky towards his house. Safety measure, making sure nobody would connect the six new hero's with the six kids living in a suburban house. Not that anyone would do that, who would think off that. Freddy thought it could be the best secret identity out there.

What was he doing, oh yea, going home. How high was he? High enough not to be spotted but low enough that he didn't fly into an airplane, alright good, great even. Let's see, a few pigeons, a crow, a plane, a flock geese, wait a plane?!

Freddy stopped in his tracks to see a continental plane passing by. But that didn't make any sense, he should be low enough to not see any planes. Unless this plane was going way to low and way too far from his path to be normal. And if something isn't normal it is dangerous or in danger. Let's see which one of the two it is.

Freddy flew to above the plane and saw that the right engine was smoking. Freddy's eyes widened as he flew closer to look if he could do anything to fix it, but it looked like it was a problem with the combustor or the turbine. He couldn't even fix one on the ground! So that was definitely a no go in the air.
