Hyperventilation. That's what it felt like I was doing while I was driving. I eventually made my way back home, but I knew I couldn't stay there. Not after what just happened. I knew I had to get blaze back, but I couldn't defeat an entire corporation and their faceless monster. There was just no way.
This was getting too overwhelming for me. I couldn't just run away for a couple of days to go get Blaze, what about my mother? If those people find out where I live, it would be game over. I couldn't put my mom in danger like that. My heart began racing. I needed to calm down and think. I slowly inhaled through my nose and exhaled through my mouth. My heart rate slowed down.
What should I do? I don't even know where they are keeping blaze! But... They wouldn't expect an attack the same night as when they took Blaze, surely not. Maybe I should take them by surprise. Time is running out!
I didn't realize it at the time, but I perform better under pressure. I knew I didn't have much time at all before they killed Blaze, or worse. I had to go back. No plan. Nothing. Just instinct. I put on my black hoodie and ran out the door to get in the car. When I started it, I looked at the time on my phone. It was 10:47 pm.
I drove back to the Lab, trying to remember the roads Blaze took to get there. I finally spotted the two buildings that I had parked in between before. The black tire marks were still there. I parked the car and turned it off, leaving the keys in the ignition. This was major déjà vu for me considering that this is exactly how me and Blaze did it just an hour ago.
I quietly got out of the car and shut the door. The cameras were still broken when I got down there to the back door. This is where I was going to enter from. I slowly pushed the door open, it felt like it took an hour because I was trying not to make the hinges squeak. I looked to the right, and then to the left. There was a guard to the left of the door, standing there with his gun. There was a pistol on his side, tightly placed in his holster. I couldn't fire any guns, I didn't want to make any noise at all.
I needed to take him out quietly, since he was blocking the entrance to the hallway. Before I could think of anything to do, I walked through the door and snuck up behind the guard. I quickly placed my right hand on his chin and my left hand on the back of his head. *Crack* the guard slumped over and hit the floor. I had just broken his neck.
This was good. I could put on his uniform and take his guns. I pulled his body out the back door and outside. Then, I took his uniform off and put it on. I had to put his body in the dumpster outside so nobody found it. I would have felt bad about just killing a man, But this was no time for my conscience to get in the way.
The uniform the guard was wearing consisted of a dark blue button up shirt with black cargo pants and a black belt. I now had the holster with the gun in it on my side. I decided to leave the other gun since I needed my hands to be free just in case I needed to do something with them. The pistol was enough.
I began walking through the hallway. There were guards EVERYWHERE. Around every corner, there was the familiar blue button up and black pants. I had to keep telling myself that I belonged there, and I was just looking for something. I figured if I convinced myself that I actually worked there and not that I just killed a guy and took his uniform, then I would look like I was just casually walking down the hallway as a guard.
After a whole ten minutes of searching for any sign of Blaze, I saw a janitor. He was mopping up a trail of blood off of the floor. I went up to him to ask him something, but I thought that it would be too dangerous to talk to anyone there. Instead, I just followed the trail of blood through the hall. I turned the corner of the hallway and the trail of blood was still going. I kept following it until It suddenly stopped. The trail was gone. I looked up and saw a door about 20 feet in front of me.
